3 Shot In Detroit Wild West Side Shooting, Caught On Tape

July 22, 2020 By John Roberts Leave a Comment

Welcome To The Shitshow

Detroit’s West Side: Another wild night on Detroit’s west side this evening. At about 6:30PM, DPD’s 8th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting at the BP Gas Station, 24761 W 7 Mile.

Arriving officers found that indeed a shooting had taken place, but the victims had fled the scene. DPD’s 8th Precinct then started polling hospitals and discovered the victims had made their way to Botsford/Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, alive.

The 3 victims, all males, were shot while sitting inside their vehicle outside the front doors of the BP gas station. Surveillance video caught the shooting, showing a shirtless Black male armed with appears to be a stainless steel semi-automatic, firing repeatedly into the victims vehicle, a silver Ford Focus.

Reports indicate a conversation between the shooter and the victims turned sideways, then; of course, as it often does in Detroit, gunfire erupted and people starting leaking.

Other patrons of the gas station can be seen beating feet in the video as the shots rang out, looking for cover.

The victims vehicle can be seen speeding off while the shooter, seemingly confused at no longer having anything to shoot at, started sprinting away to the west. It took a couple of seconds, but he remembered his ride was back in the other direction…shooting people can get confusing.

The shooter sprinted back to where he came from and jumped into the front passenger seat of a silver Kia Sedona, it didn’t stick around of course, that would be stupid.

Surveillance Video

The victims then drove themselves to Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills where their vehicle was placed into evidence by the DPD.

The Bad Guys

The suspects are described as 3 Black males. The shooter, the front passenger of the vehicle is described as a skinny Black male, shirtless, wearing blue jeans with “nappy hair”, 19-20 years old. The driver is described as heavy set, dark complected, wearing a white t-shirt and white baseball hat. The third passenger is described as a Black male wearing an open checkered red shirt. The vehicle was last seen southbound on Grand River, then southbound on Salem.

The Victims

Of the three victims, one is in critical condition and the other two are in stable condition at Botsford/Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills. They’re all in their 20s according to the Detroit Police.

Shooting At Westside Coney Island Leaves 3 Dead, 1 Critically Injured, Suspect In Custody

July 20, 2020 By John Roberts Leave a Comment

The Shooter Gave No Warning

Detroit’s West Side: The Detroit Police Department’s 10th Precinct responded to 9122 Dexter last night at around 11:03PM on reports of a shooting.

Reports indicated multiple people were shot and multiple Detroit EMS rigs were dispatched to the scene.

Video of the shooting shows 8 people inside the lobby of A Eagle Coney Island on Dexter. Five people, 4 men, including the shooter and a woman were at the counter. 3 other male Blacks were either sitting or standing in the lobby conversing.

Seconds into the video, the man at the counter pulled out a handgun from his right pocket and shot 1 man in the head, then 2 other males standing in the lobby next to the counter. The woman at the counter was not shot. There didn’t appear to be an altercation between the shooter and his victims, he just whipped out the handgun and started firing.

As the shooting unfolded, 3 males inside the lobby ran through the front door followed by the woman at the counter. The shooter followed, firing outside as he started to flee.

The shooter then turned his attention back to the 3 males laying on the floor of the lobby and started firing on them again. He then left through the front door and into the parking lot.

A Eagle Coney Island Surveillance Video

Video Shared On Social Media

1 male Black was shot and killed by the shooter outside in the parking lot, seen laying lifeless next to a vehicle in video shared on multiple social media accounts. Reports indicate the shooter took the fatally shot male’s vehicle.

The video shows a number of people outside of the Coney Island looking inside at the scene. One of the wounded males on the floor of the coney island appeared to be on shock with a gunshot wound to the head. The video suggests no one offered aid.

The shooter; who remains unidentified, was taken into custody later by the Detroit Police Department and is being housed at the DDC, Detroit Detention Center. The ages and identities of the victims are unknown at this time.

In addition to the DPD’s 10th Precinct, Detroit Fire’s Engine 39, Hart Medic 54, DEMS Medic 7 and DEMS Medic 27 responded to the scene. DEMS Supervisors 1103 & 1005 also responded due to a mass casualty scene.
