Non Fatal Shooting in NW Detroit

19300 Block of Edinborough-8th Precinct

February 1 2026 2:11AM – Shooting: Detroit Police 8th Precinct is investigating a non-fatal shooting in the 19300 block of Edinborough on Detroit’s northwest side.

Officers were notified after a shooting victim arrived at a hospital outside the City of Detroit with a gunshot wound at around 3:40 a.m.. The victim told officers he had been shot in the head while visiting his girlfriend, though the exact location of the shooting was initially unclear.

Officers requested assistance from Crime Intelligence and utilized ShotSpotter to help determine the shooting location. The closest ShotSpotter activation was detected in the 19300 block of Edinborough at approximately 2:11 a.m.

The victim’s injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.

DPD Evidence Technicians were dispatched at 5:46 a.m. to process the scene for investigators.

Shots Fired into Business-Downtown Detroit

525 E Jefferson – Pizza Cat

31 Jan 2026 – 4:30AM: Shots Fired into Business: Detroit Police 3rd Precinct investigating shots fired into a business earlier this morning at around 4:30AM. Multiple reports of shots fired were reported in the area. Arriving officers discovered shots had been fired into the Pizza Cat, 525 E Jefferson. There were no injuries reported.

Mobil Gas 2021 W Grand Blvd

31 Jan 2026 4:30AM – Shooting: Detroit Police 3rd Precinct is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred earlier this morning at approximately 4:30 a.m. at the Mobil Gas Station, 2021 W. Grand Blvd.

Officers were initially dispatched to a report of a male shot at the Mobil gas station at Grand River & Rosa Parks. DPD 10th Precinct units also responded to the call and located the shooting victim nearby at 2008 W. Grand Blvd. The victim was transported to a local hospital by 10th Precinct officers.

Subsequent investigation identified a named suspect and a vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting, described as a rented, newer-model black GMC Yukon with large yellow signage covering the vehicle, resembling a cab.

DPD Evidence Technicians were dispatched at approximately 5:50 a.m. to 2021 W. Grand Blvd to process the scene of a NON FATAL SHOOTING for investigators.

Shooting in Detroit’s Corktown

Michigan & Trumbull-Corktown

1:16AM Jan 31 2026: Detroit Police 3rd Precinct Officer reported shots fired at Michigan & Trumbull. The officer reported the shooting took place right in front of them.

Officers report one person with a gunshot wound and one individual detained. No Detroit Police officers discharged their weapons.

Detroit EMS Medic 53 is responding to the scene.

Update 2:18AM: DPD Evidence Techs have been dispatched to 2110 Trumbull, UFO Bar, to process the scene of a NON FATAL Shooting.

Fatal Shooting Brush & Louisiana

Brush & Louisiana-11th Precinct

Detroit Police 11th Precinct units are investigating a fatal shooting at Brush & Louisiana.

The initial call was for a ShotSpotter activation of 6+ rounds. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased individual lying in the intersection at around 4:40PM Thursday afternoon.

Detroit Fire Engine 44 and Detroit EMS Medic 66 were dispatched to the scene. Medic 66 confirmed a K-Type (fatal).

DPD Evidence Technicians were dispatched at 5:26 p.m. to process the scene for homicide investigators.
