Double Shooting in NW Detroit – 1 Fatal

Double Shooting: Detroit (1 Fatal, 1 Non-Fatal)

February 1 2026 1:00AM – Detroit Police 12th Precinct Officers responded to reports of a large party and shots fired in the 17100 block of Quincy at approximately 1:00 a.m.

Upon arrival, 12th Precinct officers were informed that at least one victim had been loaded into a white or beige SUV and privately transported to Sinai-Grace Hospital. Officers did not locate any injured individuals at the scene and were dispatched to the hospital to gather additional information.

At Sinai-Grace Hospital, officers confirmed two gunshot wound victims. One victim was pronounced deceased, while the second victim sustained non-fatal injuries.

DPD Evidence Technician 4712 (with an assist from 4711) was dispatched at 3:29 a.m. to process the scene for homicide investigators.

Sturtevant & Lawton in the 10th Precinct

Detroit’s NW Side 10:45PM 7.27.24: Detroit PD’s 10th Precinct are investigating a double shooting in the 2900 block of Sturtevant x Lawton. Arriving scouts discovered 2 people shot at the scene, a male with a GSW to the hand and a female with a GSW to the thigh, according to dispatch audio..

DFD’s Engine 40 (MFR) and DEMS Medic 1 were also dispatched to the scene. No further information at this time.

DPD’s 8th Precinct Investigating a Double Shooting

Detroit’s NW 1250AM 7.27.24: DPD’s 8th Precinct received reports of shots being fired in the 19100 block of Appleton at around 1246AM Saturday morning. The incident escalated after a 911 caller reported his brother had been shot in the mouth. Shots continued to be reported near the Motor City Coney Island at 7 Mile & Appleton.

Arriving 8th Precinct scouts confirmed the shooting and that there were 2 shooting victims according to dispatch audio. Detroit Fire’s Engine 54 (MFR-Medical First Response) and DEMS Medic 22 were also dispatched to the scene. DEMS Supervisor 1111 also responded.

There were also reports of multiple shots being fired in the area of Telegraph & Grand River, south of the shooting location.

Detroit Police Investigating A Fatal Shooting On East St in Brewster Homes

DPD’s 3rd at Brewster Homes with a double shooting, 1 Fatal

Detroit (4:45PM): Detroit Police 3rd Precinct are investigating a double shooting in the Brewster Homes, East & Eliot Sts. Detroit Fire’s Squad 2 (MFR) and DEMS Medic 8 also responded. Upon arrival, DEMS Medic 8 reported 1 K-Type (Fatal). The other victim was conveyed by DPD Officers to a local hospital with non life threatening gunshot wounds. The area is being locked up by the DPD, expect a large presence in the area while the investigation takes place.

12th Precinct Investigating Double Shooting, Bond Liquor On Fenkell

Fatal Shooting At Fenkell & Sorrento

Detroit’s NW Side: DPD’s 12th Precinct was notified by 911 a pair of shootings took place at around 905PM Friday evening. Both shootings took place in the area of Fenkell & Sorrento/Steel at the Bond Liquor. A male was shot inside the liquor store, it’s unknown where the female was shot, inside or outside. The female stated that when she realized she was shot, she fled the area in her vehicle. Her vehicle was found at Wyoming & 7 Mile at the KFC. Her boyfriend conveyed the female from there to Sinai-Grace Hospital. Dispatch audio suggested the female had been shot in the head while inside the vehicle, but that is unconfirmed. With that said, the DPD is investigating this shooting of course, this is just dispatch audio and can as it often does, change with investigation. At the time of the dispatch, the female was talking to officers at the hospital. .

The male was declared dead in the E/R, shot multiple times. It’s unknown of the female and male were known to each other.

The suspect was described on dispatch audio of being on foot, wearing a ski mask, gray winter coat, black or blue pants, brown work boots, armed with a blue steel automatic. The suspect was last seen NB on Sorrento from Fenkell. DEMS Medic 27 had the medical run.
