Video: Man gunned down in crowded German train station

German Police Have Arrested Suspected Shooter

Police in the City of Frankfort, Germany have arrested a 54yo Turkish man for the murder of another Turkish man on a crowded train station platform.

The victim is reportedly a 27yo male and also a Turkish national.

At 9:00PM (1900 GMT) Tuesday evening 8.20.24, the suspected shooter can be seen approaching the victim from behind on Platform 9 of Frankfort’s Central Station, firing a shot into the man’s head.

The video suggests the suspect then delivered a coup de grâce after the victim fell to the ground. The suspect fled the scene but was captured on a nearby platform by German police.

Rashad Trice Sentenced to Life in Prison for 2023 Murder of 2-Year-Old Wynter Cole-Smith

Life In Prison Without The Possibility Of Parole 

LANSING – August 16th 2024: Rashad Maleek Trice, 27, of Lansing, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by Judge Joyce Draganchuk in the 30th Judicial Circuit Court in Ingham County for the 2023 murder of 2-year-old Wynter Cole-Smith, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. He was also given a concurrent sentence of 60-90 years’ incarceration for the violent assault of Wynter’s mother. He pled guilty in July to one count each of First-Degree Murder and First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. 

On July 2, 2023, Trice sexually assaulted and stabbed his former girlfriend and kidnapped her daughter, Wynter, from Lansing. Trice then murdered the toddler before resisting arrest and ultimately being apprehended in St. Clair Shores. Wynter was discovered in a Detroit alley after a three-day search involving multiple law enforcement agencies from Lansing to Detroit, Michigan State Police, and agents from the FBI. 

“Nothing can bring Wynter back, but I hope knowing that Mr. Trice will spend the rest of his life behind bars, without the need for a lengthy trial, offers some solace to her loved ones,” Nessel said. “Thanks to the tireless work of law enforcement and prosecutors in my office, the man responsible for these horrific acts will never again endanger our communities.” 

The Department charged Trice with 20 counts involving the incident and ensuing police pursuit in July 2023 after announcing an agreement between the Attorney General, Ingham County Prosecutor John Dewane, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido, and Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy to consolidate the many charges into one prosecution.

Triple Shooting-13900 Block of Hazelridge

Detroit’s NE 1142PM 8.5.24: DPD’s 9th Precinct were dispatched to the intersection of Hazelridge & Gratiot at around 1142PM Monday night for a shooting. The run was amended to the 13900 block of Hazelridge for a home invasion.

Arriving units reported they had one GSW victim on scene and they had a pulse. DEMS Medic 15 was also dispatched.

There were reports of 2 others who may have also been shot, privately conveyed to St John Hospital. Units at St John Hospital reported one other shooting victim had been dropped off at the hospital, the conveying vehicle then left the hospital according to dispatch audio.

DEMS Medic 15 conveyed 1 to the hospital from the scene, Code 4 (Fatal). DEMS Medic 23 is also responding to the scene at the request of DEMS Supervisor 1104 in case another victim is found inside the dwelling.

Update-12:14AM: Scouts have yet to clear the scene and are treating it as a barricaded gunman situation. Supervisors are in the process of notifying anyone still inside the residence to exit.

Update-12:38PM: According to dispatch audio, there are 3 people with GSW’s, 1 fatal and 2 non fatal. The house has yet to be cleared and the area is locked down.

Update-12:43AM: DPD Scouts on scene are being warned of a large crowd gathered near the scene, they are not attempting to approach.

Update-0100AM: DPD’s SRT (SWAT) is arriving on scene. DPD unsure if there’s anyone else inside the house. Units on scene have moved to a secure channel incapable of being monitored.

Update-0325AM: DEMS Medic 14 relieved DEMS Medic 23. DEMS Medic 14 was released at 0325AM. It appears as if 2 others were taken into custody at the scene of the shooting/barricade.

Shots Fired On The WB I-94 In Washtenaw County

Sylvan Township, Washtenaw County 2:30PM 8.4.24: Michigan State Police Troopers from the Brighton Post were dispatched to the westbound 94 Near Huron St. in Sylvan Township, Washtenaw County for a freeway shooting around 2:30PM.

Troopers investigation discovered a spent handgun round in the pickup bed of the victims vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is a gray Chevy Cruz that was occupied by three black males that appeared to be younger, possibly around 17 years of age.

The suspect vehicle license plate is 8QDQ45.

That vehicle plate is improper and does not belong on the vehicle. We are asking for any tips or information that would assist in our investigation, and assist in identifying the suspects. You can call the Brighton Post at 810–227–1051. Reference Complaint# 12-6033-24
