Dispatch Audio: Man Dies In Double East Side Shooting

2 Shot, 1 Fatally On Detroit’s East Side

Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 5th Precinct was dispatched to an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Courville & E Warren early Saturday morning, around 1:53AM.

There, arriving officers discovered a 34 year old female shooting victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim said she had been shot at the J-Spot at E Warren & 3 Mile Dr just before she lost consciousness.

Investigating officers from the 5th & 9th Precincts discovered a male shooting victim laying in the road outside the J-Spot Bar & Grill @ 16200 E Warren.

Detroit EMS Medic 24 responded to the female victim @ Courville & E Warren and notified Detroit EMS dispatch that another DEMS rig would be required for the second shooting scene. Medic 24 also notified dispatch that CPR was being performed on the male victim.

DEMS Medic 15 and DEMS Supervisor 1104 responded to the scene in front of the J-Spot.

Both victims were conveyed to St Johns Hospital at Mack & Moross. The 34 year old female victim is said to be in critical condition and the 36 year old male victim has died of his wounds.

Dispatch Audio: Fatal Shooting In Inkster

Inkster Fatal Shooting, Suspect In Custody

Further Information via Michigan State Police: Preliminary Investigation revealed that the victim and suspect got into argument over a car in parking lot. The suspect got into a fist fight with victim and knocked the victim down.

The victims pistol fell out of his waistband and fell on the ground (victim has CPL). The victim picked up his gun and walked towards suspect. The suspect fired several rounds, striking and killing the victim.

The suspect is in custody and his weapon had been seized. The victim is a 34 year old male from Dearborn. Family notifications have been made. Interviews are pending with witnesses and suspect.


Inkster, Mi: 2:58PM January 19, 2019 – Inkster Police were called to the Marathon Gas Station @ 28474 Michigan Ave earlier today on reports of a shooting.

Dispatch audio suggests an AT&T employee was involved in the shooting, but that information isn’t clear on whether they were the shooter or the victim.

The shooter was described as being armed and wearing a yellow vest, last seen on Michigan Ave & Springhill, east of Middlebelt.

Arriving officers were able to detain 1 suspect matching the description on Michigan Ave & Springhill Ave.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Inkster Fire.

MSP Special Investigation Detectives and troopers from Metro South were dispatched to the scene @ 3:25PM.

Dispatch Audio: Double Fatal Snowmobile Accident On Lake Gogebic In Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

2 Killed On Lake Gogebic

Gogebic County, Mi: Two men were killed in a head-on snowmobile collision late Friday night on Upper Michigan’s Lake Gogebic.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at about 7:12 P.M Friday evening.

Officials were told the accident was on the western side of the lake near Pabst Bay, 5 miles north of Lake Gogebic Lodge and about 500 yards from shore.

Officials say a 23 year old man from Riverton, Illinois collided head-on into another snowmobile being driven by a 53 year old man from Darwin, Minnesota. One of those snowmobiles also caught on fire following the accident.

Reports indidcate CPR was initiated on both men prior to medical personnel arriving, but those efforts failed.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene by Beacon Ambulance. Names of the victim’s have not been released.

Troopers from the Wakefield State Police Post and Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene and are investigating the accident.

Reports from the region suggest speed and alcohol may have played a part in the crash.

Michigan State Police Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department, Beacon Ambulance, Marenisco First Responders and Marenisco Township Fire Department.

Dispatch Audio: Deadly Fire On Detroit’s West Side

Fatal Fire On Detroit’s West Side

St Marys St, Detroit’s West Side

Detroit’s West Side: Detroit Fire’s 4th Battalion battled an occupied dwelling fire in the 14800 block of St Marys early Friday morning. An 83 year old male died in the blaze.

 Detroit Fire’s 4th Battalion was dispatched to the scene at around 230AM Friday morning. Ladder Truck 25, the first company to make the scene, notified Central Dispatch that the 2nd story of a 2 story dwelling was on fire.

Detroit Fire’s Ladder 25 found the deceased in an upstairs bedroom, identified at the time as a Code 7, deceased. 

Officials believe the fire’s origin may have stemmed from careless smoking. Reports also indicate the victim was on oxygen. No one else was injured in the fire. 

Battalion Chief 4 also requested Arson to make the fire scene. 

Detroit Fire 4th Battalion Companies:

Engines 53 54 59 Ladder Truck 25 Squad 1 and Battalion Chief 4.

Detroit EMS were also on scene in a standby capacity.

Body Found On Roof Of Vacant House Is Missing Detroit Man

Detroit Fire's Chief 4, Ladder 25 & Squad 1 assisted DPD earlier in removing a body from the roof of a dwelling on Detroit's west side. DPD Unit: "Trying to figure out how it happened"… Lesure & Midland. 2nd Precinct.

Family Finds Body Of Missing 20 Year Old

Detroit’s West Side: A body found on the roof of a vacant dwelling today is reportedly a missing 20 year old Detroit man, Drevon Johnson.

Mr Johnson had been missing since December 16th 2018.

Detroit Police were called to the vacant dwelling in the 15700 block of Lesure early in the afternoon of January 17, 2019. Mr Johnson’s family made the discovery while searching vacant houses in the neighborhood.

Mr Johnson lived on the same street his body was found on and amazingly, was found in the last place he was seen. A friend of Johnson told his family members she heard shots coming from the house Mr Johnson was in, but never investigated.

Unable to reach or remove Mr Johnson’s body, the Detroit Police Department asked the Detroit Fire Department to assist in its recovery.

Detroit Fire’s 4th Battalion Chief 4, Ladder Truck 25 and Squad 1 were dispatched and Ladder 25 used its aerial platform to remove the young man’s body from the roof.

A cause of death has not been determined and the Detroit Police are investigating.
