Detroit (11:15AM): DPD’s 3rd Precinct responded originally to Woodward & Kenilworth early Saturday morning on reports of a person shot near a liquor store. Arriving officers couldn’t find anyone, checking tapes at the liquor store didn’t offer anything of value so officers started to canvass the neighborhood. Canvassing officers eventually found the GSW victim just east of Woodward and in the alley behind Leicester Ct.
The 30 year old victim was conveyed to the hospital by DEMS Medic 1. He’s currently in critical condition.
DPD had 2 different witness accounts of the shooter, first was a white “Lincoln Truck” or “Cadillac” last seen eastbound on Kenilworth, soon revised to be a brown older model 4 door with a female shooter, according to witnesses on Leicester. That vehicle was last seen westbound on Leicester then southbound on Woodward.
Detroit Police are investigating. Have some answers? Call 1-800- Speak Up.
