2 Dogs Shot, Wounded By Detroit Police & Left To Die On East Side Street

DPD Officers Shoot 2 Dogs On Beals St

Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Police 7th Precinct officers were called to the 2400 block of Beals St earlier today on reports of shots fired. A 911 caller reported that a black male was running down the street, then shooting 6 times.

Soon after arrival, a 7th Precinct scout reported shots fired. 2 dogs were shot by officers, they hadn’t died and a supervisor had to contact Detroit Animal Control to have them “picked up”. Animal Control eventually made the scene and dealt with the animals. The male running down the street firing rounds off, who knows.

Could you have one of the great dog killers give me a call on my cell phone please, I got 2 dogs over here that have been shot and they aren’t dead yet and we can’t just leave them….

Detroit EMS Discovers Fatal Shooting Victim On Detroit’s West Side

Fatal Shooting At Schoolcraft & Greenview

Detroit’s West Side – 315AM Monday 15 July 2019: Detroit EMS Medic 11 was dispatched to a man down call @ Schoolcraft & Greenview early Monday morning.

Upon arrival, medics discovered a male in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Medic 11 pronounced the male victim deceased and notified DEMS Central Dispatch of the shooting scene.

The victim is described as a male black, 20s, 5′ 7″, wearing a white shirt, dark blue Adidas shorts and flip flops.

Detroit Police are investigating.

Decomposed Body Discovered Behind Abandoned Party Store, Detroit’s East Side.

Detroit’s East Side: Another decomposed body was discovered in Detroit today, an all too common occurrence these days. A DPD Scout from the 9th Precinct discovered the decomposed body of a male early Saturday morning, at around 10:00am, behind the east side’s Grover Market/Party Store at 12351 Grover Street.

DPD’s 9th Precinct unit 930 reported he was investigating the address, requested a supervisor on the scene and soon afterward, Detroit Police evidence tech 4711 was ordered by homicide to process the scene.

It’s unknown how long the body has been there, who the body belongs to or the cause of death. DPD’s homicide and the medical examiner is investigating.

Detroit’s West Side – Tuesday July 9 2019 @5:00AM: Detroit Police responded to reports of shots fired and a man suffering a gunshot wound to the head on the 7200 block of MacKenzie, Detroit’s west side.

Officer’s from the 2nd & 4th Precincts responded and found 3 with gunshot wounds. A 39 year old male, a 29 year old female and an 8 year old child. Initially officers had thought 2 juveniles had been shot but later discovered a 3 year old had been injured during the incident but not shot. The children are described as a male and a female.

An 11 year old managed to escape, according to dispatch audio, and ran to the area of Wykes & Tireman.

In addition to officers from the 2nd & 4th Precincts, Detroit EMS Medics 2, 5, 10 & 9 responded to the MacKenzie shooting scene. DEMS Medic 9 was sent to Wykes & Tireman.

Later in the day, the DPD arrested a 25 year old male for the shootings.

All of the shooting victims are reportedly in critical condition. The 3 year old received non life threatening injuries. The 11 year old’s injuries are unknown. Police say shootings may have occurred during a domestic disturbance.

Dispatch Audio: Fatal Shooting On Detroit’s East Side, Nottingham Street

Female Shot & Killed On Nottingham

Detroit’s East Side – 0100AM July 9 2019: Detroit Police responded to the 3600 block of Nottingham early Tuesday morning on reports of a shooting.

Scout from DPD’s 5th Precinct discovered the body of a 28 year old woman. Witnesses on scene described 2 suspects, a man and a woman. The man was armed with a shotgun and the woman armed with an unknown weapon. Suspects were last seen on Nottingham in what was described as a purple Crown Victoria.

Detroit EMS Medic 24 was dispatched and pronounced the woman dead on the scene.

The two suspects, for whatever reason and mind you, they’re suspected of murdering someone, returned to the scene of the crime about an hour later and both were taken into custody by 5th Precinct scouts. Their vehicle, in reality a burgundy Mercury Grand Marquis, was found a block east on Somerset and transported to DPD’s impound yard for evidence.
