Mass Shooting In Detroit’s NW Side. DPD Confirming Number Of Shooting Victims

8 People Shot at W McNichols & Asbury Park, So Far

Detroit’s NW 10:15PM July 25 2021: Detroit Police are at W McNichols & Asbury Park for a confirmed shooting. There were shots fired at the location and multiple people have been struck by gunfire, according to dispatch audio. DEMS Medics 17, 22 and Detroit Fire’s Engine 59 (Medical First Response-MFR) also responded. DEMS Supervisor 1107 established medical incident command and reported 3 gunshot wound victims at the scene. DEMS Medic 17 conveyed 1 to Sinai-Grace Hospital and DEMS Medic 22 conveyed 2 to Sinai-Grace. According to dispatch audio, the shooting took place on W McNichols between Asbury Park & Ferguson. DPD looking for a 1986 yellow Oldsmobile Cutlass seen leaving the area NB on Asbury Park. At the time of this writing, Detroit Police are at Sinai-Grace confirming the number of victims, there may be more.

Update: DPD now reporting 7 have been shot in this incident. The number changes as victims show up at the hospital.

Update: DPD reporting a vehicle drove past a liquor store at W McNichols & Asbury Park and started shooting, wounding at least 7 people.

Update: A GSW victim at Providence Hospital in Southfield is said to be in conjunction with the shooting on McNichols & Asbury Park…that makes 8 GSW victims according to dispatch audio I’m aware of.

Another Violent Night In Detroit


Joy Rd & Quincy Shooting-West Side

Detroit’s West Side (8:29PM Thursday) DPD’s 12 Precinct responded to Quincy & Puritan on reports of a shooting victim. Detroit EMS Medic 2 made the scene and conveyed the shooting victim to a local hospital.

Subsequent investigation led the DPD to Joy Rd & Quincy where they believe the shooting took place (10th Precinct). Dispatch audio suggests the shooting took place during a carjacking. DPD’s 10th Precinct took over the investigation.



Brush St & E Jefferson Shooting-Downtown

Downtown Detroit (11:21PM): DPD responded to Brush St & E Jefferson on reports of a shooting in the downtown. DEMS Medic 19 had the run. The suspect in the shooting was taken into custody. Initially, DPD requested medics to the scene for not only the victim, but also the female shooter. DEMS was refused by the female, but dispatched again about an hour later.


Confirmed Shooting: DPD @ Brush & E Jefferson for a shooting. Detroit Fire’s Engine 1 and DEMS Medic 19 are also responding. Downtown Detroit.

Robson & Keeler Shooting – West Side

Detroit’s West Side (2:59AM): DPD’s 2nd Precinct received notice that a gunshot wound victim had been privately conveyed to Sinai-Grace Hospital. Subsequent investigation placed the shooting scene at Robson & Keeler on Detroit’s west side. Later, DPD officers on the scene notified dispatch they needed additional units @ Sinai-Grace Hospital. Dispatch audio suggests someone attempted to remove the vehicle the victim was conveyed in. Later that same vehicle was placed into evidence by the DPD.



Telegraph & W McNichols Shooting West Side

Detroit’s West Side (4:16AM): DPD’s 8th Precinct was notified by Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills that a gunshot wound victim had been privately conveyed to their hospital. Subsequent investigation revealed the shooting occurred at Telegraph & W McNichols on Detroit’s west side. According to dispatch audio, the female victim stated she was assaulted and shot. DPD is investigating.



Critical MVA @ 7 Mile & Mansfield

Detroit’s West Side (2:15AM): DPD’s 8th Precinct responded to W 7 Mile & Mansfield on reports of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries. Multiple DEMS Medic units were dispatched to the scene with Detroit Fire. DEMS Medic 18, 22 & 4 with DEMS Supervisors 1103/4 responded. Multiple victims were conveyed to local hospitals including, according to dispatch audio, a 4 year old child. The child was conveyed to Children’s Hospital.


Critical PED vs Auto-East Side

Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 11th Precinct investigating a critical motor vehicle versus pedestrian at Carrie & E Davison. No further information on this run.

Dwelling Fire Claims Life Of Child On Detroit’s West Side

Update July 3, 2020: The 5 year old female has passed away.

3 Others Injured On Pierson St

Detroit’s West Side: Detroit Fire’s 2nd Battalion were dispatched to a dwelling fire in the 8600 block of Pierson early Tuesday morning at 2:48AM.

Companies responding were notified by Central Dispatch civilians were trapped inside the dwellings. Battalion Chief 2 notified all responding companies to be prepared to mount a search upon arrival.

Detroit EMS Medics and a DEMS supervisor were also dispatched to the scene.

Battalion Chief 2 notified Central Dispatch that 2 civilians had been rescued from inside the dwelling and requested additional DEMS Medics to the scene for 2 additional casualties.

The children, reported to be 9 and 6 years old were conveyed; in cardiac arrest, to Children’s Hospital by DEMS Medic 5 with Detroit Fire’s Squad 1 assisting. An additional 2 adults were conveyed to Sinai-Grace Hospital by DEMS Medic 22. DEMS Medic 17 remained on the fire scene as stand-by while Detroit Fire’s 2nd Battalion fought the fire. Reports indicate the 9 year old female died of her injuries, the 5 year old female is in critical condition. The 2 adults conveyed to Sinai-Grace were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Detroit Police Arson Car 810 was also dispatched to the scene.

Fatal Shooting On Detroit’s East Side, Keystone & E Hildale

2 People Shot, 1 Fatally

Gunfire Interrupts Dice Game


Detroit’s East Side: Detroit PD’s 11th Precinct responded to the 18500 block of Keystone early Wednesday morning at around 2:20AM on reports of shots fired and a possible shooting.

Full Dispatch Audio Included

Arriving officers discovered 2 victims with gunshot wounds. Detroit Fire’s Engine 56, DEMS Medics 18, 10 and DEMS Supervisor 1105 also responded.

DFD’s Engine 56, responding as MFR; Medical First Response, performed CPR on one of the victims until the arrival of DEMS.

Witnesses described the shooters vehicle as a newer model silver Chevrolet Malibu, possibly occupied with 2-3 suspects, last seen fleeing the scene eastbound on E Hildale.

One of the shooters was described as a 25-27 year old light skinned Black male, about 6’2″ in height, short hair with no facial hair.

The second suspect is described as being a dark skinned Black male with an afro, 5’6″ in height wearing a white t-shirt and basketball shorts.

A 32 year old male was pronounced deceased on the scene by Detroit EMS, the second victim, a 40 year old, was conveyed to a local hospital by DEMS Medic 10. His condition is unknown. The ages and names of the victims have not been released.
