Fatal Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Accident On The EB I-94 Near Masonic, St Clair Shores

St Clair Shores, Mi: I-94/Masonic Road Fatal Motor Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Crash. 12/24/18.

At approximately 8:35 PM 12/24 Metro North Troopers were dispatched to a car vs pedestrian crash in the area of E/B I-94 and Masonic Road. It is a confirmed fatal crash.

At this time E/B I-94 is shut down and all traffic is being ramped off at Little Mack Ave.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian stopped and the driver is cooperating with the investigation.The victim is a 23 year old male from the Clinton Twp area.

Next of kin notification is being done, at this time by MSP Troopers.

There is no ETA for freeway being reopened as of yet. Preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking along the shoulder of E/B I-94 and was struck by a vehicle.

No abandoned vehicles have been located in the area as of yet. It is not clear if this was intentional (suicide) and all information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.

Hunter Injured In Fall From Chesterfield Township Tree Stand

Hunter Takes A Dive Out Of Tree-Stand, Injures Leg

Chesterfield Township, Mi: At approximately 8:30am on Sunday morning (12/23/2018) a 25 year old Shelby Township man called 911 to report that he had fallen from his tree stand while deer hunting. The man stated that he believed he had broken his leg as a result of the fall and that he was incapacitated on the ground at the bottom of the tree. The man was able to provide Chesterfield 911 Dispatchers with his location via GPS on his cell phone.

Dispatchers guided Chesterfield Police and Fire units to the man’s location, where he was ultimately located on State Hunting land south of 25 Mile Road and west of I-94. Police, Fire and Medstar ambulance personnel stabilized the man and conveyed him out of the woods and to a waiting ambulance.

The man was conveyed to McLaren Macomb Hospital where he is currently in surgery with apparent non-life threatening injuries.

Dispatch Audio: Michigan State Trooper Injured During Arrest – I94 & Concord

Detroit: On 12/23 at approximately 3:00AM troops from the Metro South Post were dispatched to a multi vehicle injury crash on W/B I-94 west of Van Dyke.

While heading to the crash troopers observed a car on the shoulder passing stopped traffic at a high rate of speed.

Troopers got behind the vehicle and the suspect vehicle continued to drive on the shoulder. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped once the male driver cleared the stopped traffic. Troopers made contact with the driver. They also observed open alcohol in the vehicle.

Troopers ordered the male driver to exit his vehicle. Troopers attempted to place him under arrest when the driver broke away from the trooper and ran across the freeway through stopped traffic. Troopers tackled the suspect and arrested him without further incident.

The suspect was not injured and was lodged at the Detroit Detention Center. The arresting troopers ankle was severely sprained or broken during the arrest. He was transported from the scene by DFD EMS to a local hospital.

UPDATE: The trooper was admitted to a local hospital and will require surgery. He will be off work for at least three months. The suspect has been identified as a 24 year old male from Roseville.

Dispatch Audio: Shots Fired At Mumford High School In Detroit – *Crickets*

Detroit – December 18 2018 – 3:37pm: Detroit DPS Police and Detroit Police officers from the 12th Precinct responded to reports of shots fired at Mumford High School on Detroit’s west side Tuesday afternoon.

Officers on scene were told that shots were fired in or near the school by 3 youths, last seen on W McNichols and Ilene, moving in and out of restaurants in the area.

Detroit police officers performed a canvass of the area with unknown results.

No mention of this incident in the local press. As you can imagine, anywhere else in the world this would have forced the media into a frenzy, helicopters and a visit from the governor…

Shootings aren’t unusual in Detroit, maybe that’s the reason why its been ignored. It’s Detroit man, shit happens everyday. It’s just another shooting.

We’re doomed.
