Man Shot & Killed During Carjacking

Detroit’s East Side: A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening at around 9:45PM @ Agnes St & Belvedere St on Detroit’s east side.

Detroit Police received a 911 call stating a man had been shot in the middle of the street. Upon arrival officers found a 31 year old man down in the street suffering from gunshots wounds.

Witnesses told the police the victim was shot while he was inside his vehicle on Belvidere, dragged from the vehicle and left to die in the street. Detroit EMS Medic 12 pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

The carjacker, described on dispatch tapes as a black male wearing a red bandana over his face, left the scene in the victim’s 2005 silver Ford 500, last seen travelling southbound on Belvidere from Agnes. Michigan license place DVU 5015.

Detroit EMS Discovers Fatal Shooting Victim On Detroit’s West Side

Fatal Shooting At Schoolcraft & Greenview

Detroit’s West Side – 315AM Monday 15 July 2019: Detroit EMS Medic 11 was dispatched to a man down call @ Schoolcraft & Greenview early Monday morning.

Upon arrival, medics discovered a male in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Medic 11 pronounced the male victim deceased and notified DEMS Central Dispatch of the shooting scene.

The victim is described as a male black, 20s, 5′ 7″, wearing a white shirt, dark blue Adidas shorts and flip flops.

Detroit Police are investigating.

Fatal Shootings, A Cop Gets Stoned At A Party And A Mini Barricade In SW Detroit

Detroit: An eventful Saturday/Sunday morning in Detroit, a couple of fatal shootings, a mini barricade on the SW side of Detroit and a police officer has stones chucked at him while attempting to clear an out of control party.

Buena Vista & Appoline on Detroit’s West Side

A man was privately conveyed to Henry Ford Hospital early this morning around 2:30AM and succumbed to his GSW’s. The scene of the shooting is still kind of up in the air, but it appears as if the fatal shooting may have occurred in the area of Buena Vista & Appoline on Detroit’s west side. Originally officers though the shooting may have taken place at 16th & McGraw, but officers were unable to locate a scene. I’ll update if more information is provided.

Another fatal shooting may have occurred on Detroit’s west side in the area of Fenkell & Ilene. DPD units were dispatched to reports of several people shot at around 2:15AM Sunday morning and I believe someone may have been fatally injured. Dispatch audio mentions a fatal shooting but I haven’t been able to confirm it…because I’m tired and lazy this morning. I’ll update this also if more information becomes available.

Central & Navy Streets On Detroit’s SW Side

Detroit Police Officers from the 4th Precinct were called to the area of Central & Navy on reports of a felony assault on a female early Sunday morning around 6:00AM. The suspects, described as 2 armed black males retreated into a residence on Navy. Police officers swarmed the area and established a perimeter around the house. An officer was able to establish contact with 1 of the 2 suspects and the suspects surrendered. Both are now in custody and the injured female received medical attention.

An incredibly large party in the area of the Lincoln Art Park caused some residents some grief early Sunday morning around 1:00AM. Hundreds of cars and people packed the area, requiring the DPD to sort of shut it down. So many vehicles and people were present that multiple units were required. One of those units attempted to herd people off the railroad tracks southeast of the art park. While doing so, people starting chucking rocks at him. Thankfully the officer was uninjured. The party soon dispersed…or will, probably in August.

Decomposed Body Discovered Behind Abandoned Party Store, Detroit’s East Side.

Detroit’s East Side: Another decomposed body was discovered in Detroit today, an all too common occurrence these days. A DPD Scout from the 9th Precinct discovered the decomposed body of a male early Saturday morning, at around 10:00am, behind the east side’s Grover Market/Party Store at 12351 Grover Street.

DPD’s 9th Precinct unit 930 reported he was investigating the address, requested a supervisor on the scene and soon afterward, Detroit Police evidence tech 4711 was ordered by homicide to process the scene.

It’s unknown how long the body has been there, who the body belongs to or the cause of death. DPD’s homicide and the medical examiner is investigating.

Dispatch Audio: Triple Shooting On Detroit’s West Side.

2 Adults 1 Child Shot Tuesday Morning

Detroit’s West Side – Tuesday July 9 2019 @5:00AM: Detroit Police responded to reports of shots fired and a man suffering a gunshot wound to the head on the 7200 block of MacKenzie, Detroit’s west side.

Officer’s from the 2nd & 4th Precincts responded and found 3 with gunshot wounds. A 39 year old male, a 29 year old female and an 8 year old child. Initially officers had thought 2 juveniles had been shot but later discovered a 3 year old had been injured during the incident but not shot. The children are described as a male and a female.

An 11 year old managed to escape, according to dispatch audio, and ran to the area of Wykes & Tireman.

In addition to officers from the 2nd & 4th Precincts, Detroit EMS Medics 2, 5, 10 & 9 responded to the MacKenzie shooting scene. DEMS Medic 9 was sent to Wykes & Tireman.

Later in the day, the DPD arrested a 25 year old male for the shootings.

All of the shooting victims are reportedly in critical condition. The 3 year old received non life threatening injuries. The 11 year old’s injuries are unknown. Police say shootings may have occurred during a domestic disturbance.
