Dispatch Audio: Shots Fired At DPD Officers

No Officers Injured

Detroit: Detroit Police 3rd Precinct Scouts came under fire from an older model green GMC Yukon in the area of Atkinson & Woodard earlier Saturday morning at around 11:58AM.



A DPD 3rd Precinct scout called out a priority and shots being fired at officers. No officers were struck and dispatch audio suggests no officers returned fire. During the incident, scouts reported a “passenger was thrown from the suspect vehicle” and that he appeared to have been shot. DEMS Medic 6 was dispatched to the scene.

DPD units were also dispatched to the 600 block of Atkinson for a DOS; or dead on scene. It’s unknown if this run was in conjunction with the shooting and its veracity is also unknown at this time.

The suspect vehicle, an older model green GMC Yukon with an improper plate of DLC 3653 is thought to have entered the M-10 freeway following the shooting.

DPD investigators are assessing Green Light partners video in a bid to identify all those involved.

Dispatch Audio: Detroit Police 9th Precinct Security Breached

Man Breaches Security At The 9th

Detroit’s East Side: DPD security at the 9th Precinct was breached Monday night at around 9:24PM. The security officer at the 9th Precinct reported that a man had entered the precinct through an unsecured backdoor according to dispatch audio. The officer stated she didn’t know where in the station the man had walked, but she was able to corral the suspect in the vestibule.

Arriving units created a perimeter around the station and immediately performed a safety check. It’s unknown what happened to the subject, whether he escaped or was taken into custody as dispatch audio became vague after the initial callout.

3 Shot in Detroit, 1 fatally Monday morning.

3 Shootings, 1 Dead In Detroit

Detroit 1/11/2021: Detroit police are investigating 3 shootings that took place early Monday morning.



At around 12:40AM, DPD’s 9th Precinct responded to the 12000 block of Kennebec on reports of a 38 year old male with a gunshot wound. The victim was conveyed to St John Hospital. DPD evidence techs were later dispatched to process the scene of this non fatal shooting.



DPD’s 9th also received word that another GSW victim had been privately conveyed to St John Hospital at around the same time. The victim in this shooting, previously believed to be in conjunction with the Kennebec shooting, wasn’t talking to investigators and no scene was found on dispatch audio tapes. DPD dispatch audio later stated this shooting was not believed to be in conjunction with the Kennebec crime scene. The condition of this shooting victim is unknown.


Fatal Shooting on 8 Mile


Detroit’s West Side: At around 4:26AM, DPD’s 8th Precinct were dispatched to 22325 W 8 Mile x Redfern on reports of shots being fired on the 2nd floor of the Victoria Place Apartments. The 911 caller reports a male had just been shot. Further dispatch audio reported the victim, the boyfriend of the caller had been shot by her cousin.

A black Dodge Durango was spotted by responding 8th Precinct units moving at a high rate of speed east on 8 Mile from Stout. The vehicle, according to dispatch audio, was in conjunction with this shooting.

DEMS Medic 22 had the medical run and the victim was pronounced deceased.

Dispatch Audio: 5 shot overnight in Detroit, 3 fatally

Triple Fatal Shooting On W Boston

Detroit’s West Side: DPD’s 10th Precinct received a 911 call for shots fired at 4011 W Boston early this morning at 2:28AM. The caller stated there was an argument in the apartment building, shots were fired and “one person arguing could no longer be heard”.

Arriving scouts from the 10th Precinct discovered 2 “K-Types” inside the residence and another “K-Type” layed out on a sidewalk on Holmur, just east of the shooting scene.

Detroit EMS Medic 1 responded and pronounced all 3 victims deceased at the scene. The victims were described as 2 males and a female. Reports indicate the female was the mother of 7 children.

No suspect information is available and DPD’s 10th Precinct is investigating.

Motor City 911 · Triple Fatal Shooting On Detroit's West Side


Shooting on Hayes & 7 Mile

Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 9th Precinct is investigating a shooting that took place at Hayes & 7 Mile early Friday morning at around 2:00AM. The victim was privately conveyed to St John Hospital. The victim stated he had been shot by a man armed with an AK47.

Scouts from the 9th Precinct investigated a home on Saratoga that was in conjunction with this shooting. The suspect is named and the DPD is investigating.




Shooting On Detroit’s West Side

Detroit’s West Side: DPD scouts from the 6th Precinct responded to W Warren & Southfield early this morning at around 3:58AM on reports of a shooting. Subsequent investigation the GSW victim was privately conveyed to Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn. Officers also determined the shooting took place at 7260 Rutland.

Dispatch Audio: Inkster PD Officer Involved Shooting and Pursuit.

Pursuit & Shots Fired In Inkster

Inkster: At around 4:10PM Sunday afternoon, Inkter Police received reports of 3 Black males breaking into a boarded up apartment in the area of 2630 Hamlin in the City of Inkster. Arriving units reported the suspects vehicle, a purple Dodge Challenger was in the process of fleeing the scene.



Officer pursued the vehicle from the scene and at one point, the suspects vehicle struck a police unit. Officers fired on the vehicle with their service weapons, striking it multiple times. It’s unknown if the suspect(s) were struck by gunfire. No officers were injured.

The pursuit proceeded on city streets and the I-94, at one time exiting the freeway at Rawsonville Road near Willow Run Airport. The vehicle then again entered the EB I-94, still being pursued by the police.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle in the area of the 275 & I-94.

Later, Detroit Police Greenlight 3 located the wanted vehicle at 7 Mile & Stout/Votrobeck in the City of Detroit. The DPD, Inkster and Michigan State Police have a perimeter set up in the area and the investigating continues.

It now appears the DPD is closing down the investigation in the area of 7 Mile & Stout.

MSP Update

Update: MSP was contacted by Inkster Police to assist with a B & E and shots fired at a apartment complex off Hamlin Dr in the city of Inkster. Very preliminary investigation revealed that Inkster Police officers confronted three suspects fleeing after trying to break in.

One of the suspects got into a purple Dodge Challenger. As the suspect fled he struck one or two patrol cars and police fired at the suspect. At this time there are no injuries to suspect(s) or officers.

The suspect vehicle fled the area.

The suspect was pursued by several downriver area departments until they lost contact with the suspect. At approximately 6 35 PM, DPD units located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of 7 Mile and Stout. Currently, none of the suspects are in custody.
