Update: Detroit Police identify the dead 16 year old as the grandson of a recently retired DPD Captain.

West Detroit-11:33PM Saturday March 25 2017: Detroit Police were called to Steve’s Soul Food for reports of shots fired inside and outside of a building that houses Steve’s Soul Food and a banquet hall.

The banquet hall, which occupies the top floor of the building, was the scene of an argument that spilled outside.

10th Precinct scouts arrived on the scene and discovered multiple people shot, some still on scene and some privately conveyed to local hospitals.

Initial radio transmissions stated at least 1 female victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

Upon further investigation, more victims were discovered.

A DPD Scout on the scene mentioned at least 1 k-type, DPD cop-speak for fatal, which proved to be false at the time.

The suspected shooter was described as a light skin black male, 18-20 years old, 5′ 8″ in height, short hair, small build, wearing jeans, a red shirt, burgundy jacket and was driving a red or maroon Dodge Challenger. He was armed with a blue steel automatic handgun.

The shooting took place after an argument between two groups of teens.

“There was two groups of kids. There was some sort of argument. One of the groups pulled out firearms and shot the other group,” said officer Jennifer Moreno, a police spokeswoman.

1 victim was transported by DEMS Medic 48 to Henry Ford Hospital and 1 victim was privately conveyed to Henry Ford.

2 victims were privately conveyed to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Another victim, described as a 17 year old female, was privately conveyed to Children’s Hospital.

1 victim, a 16 year old male listed in extremely critical condition has since died.

1 victim was also described as the son of a “family member”, meaning a member of the Detroit Police Department.

Police say he’s the grandson of a recently retired Detroit Police Captain.

Detroit’s 8th Precinct – March 18 2017: A triple fatal shooting occurred earlier this morning around 6:00AM EST on Detroit’s west side. Detroit Police units were dispatched to the 16600 block of Rutherford on reports of a shooting. The first unit on the scene reported multiple victims.

According to the Detroit Police, a subject broke into the residence and started shooting, killing 3. The suspect then engaged another person inside the home. The two exchanged gunfire and both were wounded.

A suspect has been arrested by the Detroit Police Department.

Update: The suspect was taken into custody at a local hospital after he sought medical attention for a GSW at the crime scene.

The names of the victims, a 23 year old male, a 43 year old female and a 60 year old male have not been released.

The 4th victim and person who engaged the suspect with gunfire was also wounded and in stable condition. He is described as a 27 year old male.

Fatal Motor Vehicle Versus Pedestrian On Detroit’s West Side

Detroit – West Side’s 3rd Precinct: A fatal hit & run occurred on Detroit’s west side last night around 10:15PM near the intersection of W Grand Blvd & Linwood.

Details are sketchy but investigators are looking into whether the female victim was hit or tossed out of a vehicle.

Detroit Police units from the 3rd Precinct are investigating the incident. DPD supervisors, an accident trained officer and the fatal squad also made the scene.

Detroit police are trying to sort out conflicting reports of how a woman in her 30s died on the city’s west side.

The incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of West Grand Boulevard and Linwood Street, not far from one of the city’s high schools.

Investigators have received conflicting reports of either a hit-and-run or the victim possibly being pushed out of a moving vehicle.

Police say officers observed broken glass, blood and a pair of boots at the scene.

The victim is an unidentified Hispanic woman, believed to be in her 30s.

She was taken to Henry Ford Hospital where she died in the emergency room.

The suspect is unknown, but could possibly be driving a black sedan.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 313-267-4600.

Double Fatal Shooting Scene On Faust Ave

New Year’s Double Fatal Shooting In Detroit

Detroit – 1 January 2017: The New Year had barely poked its ugly head up when shots rang out all over Detroit. Some of those shots claimed the lives of 3 men, 2 in west Detroit and 1 in northeast Detroit.

The double fatal shooting occurred on the 7800 block of Faust Avenue in Detroit’s west side.

At around 4:00am, police units were dispatched on reports of a shooting. Earlier that evening, units were dispatched to the same area for an assault & battery, although the address given to 911 operators was nonexistent. The disposition of that call is unknown.

When units of the 6th Precinct arrived on the shooting scene, they found 2 victims, father & son, ages 39 and 21 inside and outside the dwelling suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene by Detroit EMS.

No information is available on the shooter(s). 6th Precinct PDU is investigating the shooting.

New Years eve saw other shootings in Detroit that included a 5 year old child with non-life threatening GSWs, a male who was shot in the hand at 7 Mile & The Lodge Freeway and another double shooting with one dead in northeast Detroit. 

The child was transported to Children’s Hospital in temp-serious condition with a GSW to the leg. The fatal shooting in Detroit’s northeast included a victim with non-fatal wounds. He was transported to St John’s Hospital. The fatal shooting victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Detroit EMS.

James Graham Shoots 16 Year Old Nephew In Head

What do you do when you lose and argument with your 16 year old nephew? You pull out a gun and shoot him if you’re this fool James Graham.

On 11/25/16 at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the 9000 block of Ward, the 16 year old nephew had an argument with his uncle James Graham outside of the residence on the west side of Detroit, DPDs 2nd Precinct.

When Graham couldn’t best his nephew in the argument he produced a weapon and fired a shot, striking the kid in the head.  Graham then escaped in his powder blue (That’s f****** manly) Chevy Pick-Up. Partial Michigan plate # 1317. The 16 year old kid is listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his head.

James Graham is described as a black male, 48, 5’9″, 198 lbs.
