Michigan State Police Melvindale OIS Officer Homicide Investigation Update

Investigation Update via Michigan State Police

Melvindale Officer Homicide Investigation Update:

The Second District Special Investigation Section (SIS) is continuing its investigation into the murder of Officer Mohamed Said. The suspect has been interviewed, processed and is currently lodged at the Detroit Detention Center.

Once the additional investigation is completed, the investigators report will be submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor for their review. No arraignment date has been set.

A member of the community did come forward and provide information to SIS that led to the suspects location and arrest by the MSP Fugitive team and Emergency Support Team.

Their information will be reviewed by the offering parties for the awarding of the $37,500.00 tip. This will be our final update prior to arraignment.

We continue to pray for Officer Said’s family, the Melvindale Police Department and the community of Melvindale.

Video: Michigan State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 Assists Detroit Police In Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

Trooper 2 And Its Evil Crime Fighting Eye

via MSP’s 2nd District: Trooper 2 assisted Detroit Police with a stolen Durango on Detroit’s east side. Troopers and Officers attempted a traffic stop on the suspect, but the suspect refused to stop.

The tactical flight officer on Trooper 2 was able to track the stolen car until the suspects ran from the car in the area of Kercheval & Van Dyke on Detroit’s east side, DPD’s 7th Precinct.

All suspects were caught inside a residence in Detroit.

Michigan State Police Investigate ATV Personal Injury Crash

Father & Son Involved In Quad Crash – West Branch Twp

via MSP’s Seventh District: Date: July 21, 2024 at 8:06pm

Location: Leline Rd. near Pioneer Rd., West Branch Twp, Crawford County

A 40-year-old Roscommon man and his 23 year-old son were riding their quads southbound on Leline Rd. The son was traveling in front of his father and when he looked behind him, he observed his father driving fast. The son turned left to get out of the way and the father rear ended him.

The father was ejected and the quad landed on top of him. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The son had minor injuries, and neither of them were wearing helmets. Troopers do not believe alcohol is a factor in the crash and it is still under investigation.

Michigan State Police Investigate Freeway Shootings

Shots Fired On Local Detroit Freeways

via MSP’s 2nd District Detroit: 7/20/2024 1:05 AM

Location: N I-75 FWY near Holbrook.

The Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified by a male caller who said his car was shot at. On scene investigation revealed that the caller stated that while traveling north the suspect driver, in a blue pick up, pulled up along next to him and shot at him one time and then drove away. The bullet struck the callers car. There were no reported injuries. The motive for the shooting has not been determined. The Investigation continues.

Location: S/B Lodge Fwy and Wyoming Ave.

The Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified of a traffic crash and one of the parties involved was at the gas station located at Hamilton and Glendale, city of Highland Park. On scene investigation revealed that the driver stated they were in a minor crash on Seven Mile Road near Lodge Fwy with a silver passenger car.

Both drivers exchanged words and then they became involved in a road rage incident that went onto the freeway. As the drivers were southbound on the Lodge Fwy, the driver of the silver car shot at the caller. None of the shots hit the vehicle and there were no reported injuries. Investigation continues. WANTED: Stephen Philip Foster. Michigan State Police Seeking Wanted Felon

Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

Michigan State Police Sixth District: The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force are asking for your help in locating: STEPHEN (Steve) PHILIP FOSTER, age 55, 5’10”, 170 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair.



FOSTER is wanted on multiple felony warrants including child sexually abusive activity – possession and distribute or promote, sex offender – failure to comply with registration act on previous conviction of CSC 2nd degree person under 13, firearms possession by a felon, and controlled substance – maintaining a drug house.

His last known location was in Kentwood, MI but his current whereabouts are unknown, and he may be out of state. Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the MSP Computer Crimes, Cyber Section at 877-MI-CYBER, (option #6) or for those wishing to remain anonymous, Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
