Detroit EMS conveyed that victim to St Johns Hospital on Moross where he is listed in temp serious condition. A scout described the scene as a “big scene”. Sources report two men were walking in the 1300 block of Lenox when someone in a white Chevrolet Impala fired around 40 shots in their direction.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument earlier on Wednesday.

The shots fired call was soon upgraded to a man down in the street, not moving. Officer’s from the 9th Precinct found one shooting victim on the scene. The wounds were serious enough for an officer on the scene to ask Detroit EMS to “step it up”.

Detroit Police report that the two men were working on a car when another car described as a silver Dodge Magnum drove up and stopped. A man dressed in all black exited the second vehicle and fired on the two victims with a “chopper”…or assault type weapon.

Woman Rescued From The Detroit River Monday Night

Detroit Police & Fire Dispatch Audio

Detroit: A pregnant woman was rescued by the Detroit Police, USCG & Detroit Fire Department from the waters of the Detroit River Monday night.

Detroit police officers of the 4th Precinct in southwest Detroit were flagged down by passerby’s and told a woman was in the water near Riverside Park, just south of the Ambassador Bridge.

The 2 officers jumped into the water attempting to rescue the woman who at that time was holding onto a jacket thrown by a citizen.

At one point, an EMT from Hart Medical EMS also joined the officers in the water.

How the woman actually entered the water is unclear at this point.

The officers experienced a little trouble with the rescue and requested a ladder from the responding Detroit Fire companies of the 1st Battalion.

The US Coast Guard also put a boat in the water and responded to the scene to assist.

Update: The boat belonged to the US Postal Service and not the USCG as described in the dispatch audio.

The woman was eventually removed from the water and transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital along with the EMT from Hart Medical.

Update: The woman, suffering from hypothermia, gave birth by cesarian section. Both mother and child will survive.

Hart EMS & Detroit EMS Medic 6 transported.

A Detroit Police Officer was also conveyed to DRH by 4th Precinct Scout Car 411.

All involved will survive the ordeal.
