May 6, 2020 By Motor City 911

Suspect Admitted Not Having CPL

via Michigan State Police/Metro Detroit:

We have discussed the amount of excessive speed we have seen in the Metro North Post area during the pandemic. Today the Metro South Post is also addressing the issue in Wayne County. But, we also know that when we conduct traffic enforcement we also stop other crimes.

Today, troopers stopped a vehicle pulling a boat for speeding on I-275 in Canton Township. Upon making contact with the occupants, they advised they were going fishing in Monroe County. During their conversation, the driver also advised he had a handgun in his car.

He also advised he did not have a concealed pistol license. Troopers located a total of four handguns, ammunition and a suppressor inside of the vehicle. The driver was lodged for carrying a concealed weapon pending prosecutor review.

Sinai-Grace Hospital Fires Nurse

Detroit: Nurse Sal Hadwan, featured in an April 6th 2020 video showing Sinai-Grace nurses leaving the hospital after being told to leave has been fired.

April 6 2020 Video

Sal Hadwan announced today that Sinai-Grace Hospital fired him for speaking up and reporting. He’s also been accused of leaking photos to CNN showing bodies stored in a room normally used for sleep study. He adamantly denies those allegations.

In the photo shown above, two victims in white body bags are seen lying side-by-side on a bed and a third is propped up in a chair. The room at Sinai-Grace Hospital is normally used to study sleep habits.

“I loved working here. I’d bring my family here, the doctors and nurses are amazing” “They walked me out of a separate doors, not wanting me to say goodbye to coworkers.

While waiting for his coworkers to say goodbye, Sinai-Grace Security kicked him off the property.

Michigan State Police Schools CNN Reporter On Michigan’s Open Carry Law

May 4, 2020 By Motor City 911

There Are No Laws

The public information officer for MSP’s First District schooled a CNN reporter, Ryan Young, on openly carrying firearms in the State of Michigan. There are currently NO LAWS prohibiting this practice in the State of Michigan. This was apparently in relation to protests in April that took place inside and outside the capitol grounds in Lansing.

Those protests were in response to Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, imposing restrictions of movement et al during the coronavirus pandemic. Restrictions many call fascist, ignoring the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. Open carry advocates often join other protests in the State of Michigan sporting assault type weapons slung over their shoulders, protesting in case legislators decide to enact laws banning the practice. Openly carrying firearms is completely legal in Michigan because no laws are in the books prohibiting it. The practice, like CPL holders, does come with restrictions.

On May 3rd, 2020 Michigan State Police in the First District posted this on their Twitter social media account.

@Ryanyoungnews: Hello, I am a Public Information Officer with the Michigan State Police. I would like to provide you information on open carry of firearms in the state of Michigan. In Michigan, it is legal for a person to carry a firearm in public as long as the person is carrying the firearm with lawful intent and the firearm is not concealed.

A person who holds a valid concealed pistol license may carry a concealed pistol, except at prohibited premises. Although Michigan law limits the premises on which a person may carry a firearm, the Capitol building is not a prohibited premise. Any questions let me know and thank you.
