More Bloodshed On Detroit’s East Side, Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

2 Shot At Eastwood & Blackmoor

Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 11th Precinct is investigating a double shooting earlier this morning at Eastwood & Blackmoor on Detroit’s east side. At 3:30AM, an 11th Precinct scout was performing a patrol check in the area of Eastwood & Blackmoor when they heard gunfire and came upon two people with gunshot wounds.

Detroit EMS Medic 15 and DFD’s Engine 60 were dispatched to the scene. Both victims were conveyed to St John Hospital on Moross. 1 of those victims was pronounced dead at the hospital. The condition of the second victim is unknown.

The DPD; according to dispatch audio, is looking for a black Chrysler 300C seen fleeing the scene northbound on Blackmoor. No further information is available at this time.

Fatal Shooting On Detroit’s West Side

Male Shot Dead On Stout St

Detroit’s West Side: At 10:26AM, Scouts from the 8th Precinct were dispatched to the 15400 block of Stout St on reports of a shooting.

Dispatch audio suggests 2 brothers were exchanging shots with each other and 1 of them was struck.

DEMS Medic 22 responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Detroit Police issued a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for a 20 year old male suspect. The suspect is described as 6’3″, slim build, short cropped hair, no visible tattoos, wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve black shirt and white Air Force 1’s.

Suspect Is In Custody

The suspect was taken into custody after self-conveying to @ Providence Hospital with a GSW.

Toddler Killed In East Side Traffic Collision, 2 Other Children In Critical Condition

DEMS Declares Multiple Casualty Incident



Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 7th Precinct responded to reports of a multi-vehicle accident at Field & Agnes Thursday evening at around 8:24PM. Detroit Fire sent Engine 9 & Squad 3 to the scene due to reports of trapped occupants.

Arriving police units discovered multiple vehicles and multiple patients on the scene. Detroit EMS dispatched DEMS Medics 12, 23, 14 and 8 to the scene. DEMS Supervisor 1104 also responded. The number of DEMS rigs dispatched was quickly amended to include DEMS Medic 13 as the 5th DEMS Medic on scene.

Sources tell me that 5 patients were conveyed to Detroit Receiving Hospital and 3 pediatric patients to Children’s Hospital.

According to dispatch audio, DEMS Medic 23 conveyed 1 critical pediatric to Children’s Hospital and Medic 14 conveyed 2 critical pediatric patients to Children’s Hospital. DEMS Medic 8 conveyed 2 patients to DRH, Medic 12 also conveyed 2 patients to DRH and Medic 13 conveyed 1, also to DRH.

A toddler died en route to Children’s Hospital and 2 other pediatric patients are in critical condition. The 5 patients conveyed to DRH by DEMS are in stable condition.

Sources also tell me that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Detroit, we have a problem. 5 Shootings In 5 Hours, 2 Fatal, 2 Children Shot, 1 Fatally

5 Shootings In 5 Hours, 2 Fatal


Detroit: Shots rang out in Detroit Wednesday night and Thursday morning, wounding 5 people, 2 of them fatally. 2 children shot, 1 of them fatally.

Rossini & Redmond-Non Fatal

At 10:13PM Thursday evening, Detroit Police responded to Rossini & Redmond on Detroit’s east side on reports of a shooting. Officer’s from the 9th Precinct discovered 1 with a gunshot wound. DEMS Medic 13 conveyed the victim to St John Hospital. At the time of this writing this shooting remains a non-fatal.


Nett St & Van Dyke-Non Fatal (Child)

Detroit’s East Side: At 10:36PM, DPD’s 11th Precinct responded to Arcola & Eldon on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers discovered the child had been privately conveyed to St John Hospital. Investigation of this incident revealed the shooting took place at Nett St & Van Dyke. Dispatch audio suggests 2 vehicles were exchanging shots at each other in the 7400 block of Nett St when the child, sitting in a car seat inside her mother’s Dodge Charger, was struck by gunfire. The child is listed as being in temp-serious condition.

DPD looking to find Brandon Johnson Person, the person of interest in the 3-year-old’s shooting.

W Warren & Southfield-Non Fatal

Detroit’s West Side: At 11:40PM Wednesday DPD officers were dispatched to W Warren & Southfield, near the Shell Gas Station on reports of a shooting. The caller stated her boyfriend had been shot in the face. DEMS Medic 5 was also dispatched and conveyed 1 male with a gunshot wound. At the time of this writing this remains as a non fatal shooting.


Birwood & Margareta-Fatal (Child)

Detroit’s West Side: At 12:53AM officers from the 12th Precinct were dispatched to the 18600 block of Birwood on reports of a 4 year old male shot. Arriving officers discovered the 4 year old child suffering from 2 gunshot wounds. DEMS Medic 18, along with DEMS Supervisors 1103 & 1105 were dispatched to the scene.

DEMS Medic 18 conveyed the child to Sinai-Grace Hospital in grave condition. Dispatch audio suggests the child was inside a residence on Birwood when someone started firing shots into the dwelling, striking the child twice. Witnesses on the scene suggest the shooter(s) may have been driving a gray Chevy Astro or GMC Safari van, last seen fleeing west on Margareta.

The child was pronounced deceased at Sinai-Grace Hospital.

Superior & Chrysler-Fatal

Detroit’s East Side: At 2:42AM Thursday morning, officers from DPD’s 3rd Precinct were dispatched to the scene of a shots fired call in the area of Superior & Chrysler. Upon arrival officers discovered a male had been shot inside a white vehicle near the rear of 1047 Superior. DEMS Medic 8 was also dispatched to the scene. Dispatch audio suggests the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. No further information on this fatal shooting.

Detroit Police Officers Save Woman’s Life During Traffic Stop On Detroit’s East Side

Driver Has Asthma Attack

Detroit’s East Side: Detroit police officers from the 5th Precinct saved a woman’s life this evening while performing a traffic stop at Chandler Park & Kensington. During the stop, the woman experienced an asthma attack and stopped breathing.

The 5th Precinct officers of scout car 5-3 placed the unresponsive woman in their scout car and rushed her to St John Hospital on Moross.

Still not breathing and without a pulse on arrival , the medical staff at St John Hospital performed their magic and were soon able to get the patient breathing on her own.

At the time of this writing she remains in critical condition, but alive thanks to the quick actions of the 5th Precinct’s 5-3 and the medical staff at St John Hospital.
