Detroit Police 11th Precinct Scout Involved In Hamtramck Traffic Accident

Dispatch Audio Suggests Hit & Run

Hamtramck 1:41PM: A Detroit Police 11th Precinct Scout Car was involved in an hit & run accident earlier today at Joseph Campau & Caniff.

Hamtramck Engine 1, Ladder Truck 1 and DEMS Medic 15 were dispatched to the scene for an injury traffic accident and vehicle into a building. DEMS Supervisor 1105 also responded and canceled DEMS Medic 15 when they discovered the officers had been conveyed to the hospital by other DPD Scouts. The vehicle that struck the officers continued on Joseph Campau until is struck the Surma Bazar Party Store.

The officer(s) were treated and released at a local hospital. The condition of the driver of the second vehicle is unknown.

Fatal Hit & Run On Detroit’s West Side

Detroit’s West Side: Detroit PD were dispatched to Joy Rd & Dexter on reports of an injury hit & run this evening at around 9:40PM. Upon arrival, 10th Precinct Scouts discovered a man in a wheelchair had been struck on Joy Rd.

Detroit Fire’s Engine 39, Squad 4 and DEMS Medic 1 were dispatched at 9:42PM.

DEMS Medic 1 pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Detroit Police dispatch audio suggests they’re looking for a newer model black Cadillac Escalade. The DPD Fatal Squad arrived and ordered DPD Evidence/Forensic technicians to process the scene at 10:15PM.

Road Rage Incident Leads To Another Metro Detroit Freeway Shooting

Possible Road Rage Leads To Shooting

via Michigan State Police:

On 05/10 at 7:25 PM MSP dispatch received a call from a male stating he had been shot and was bleeding. He stated he was on northbound Lodge near the Southfield Freeway.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect in this incident were traveling northbound on M-10. A witness reported a road rage incident with an unknown black male driving an orange passenger car.

The suspect pulled up along side the victim and shot him as they were traveling down the road. The victim pulled off onto the shoulder of M-10. The victim is about to undergo surgery. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Detroit Fire’s 9th Battalion Engine 58 Pulls Child From Burning Home

Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Fire’s 9th Battalion responded to the 16400 block of Fairmount on reports of an occupied dwelling fire/trapped occupants Saturday morning. The first to arrive was Engine 58, reporting rescue operations and notifying Central Dispatch Engine 50 should be prepared to stretch.

Engine 58 notified Central Dispatch they had rescued 1 person, a child, from the dwelling and they needed a medic on scene ASAP. DEMS Medic 14 had the run and arrived a few minutes later. DEMS Medic 13 was dispatched as the second medic.

DEMS Medic 14 conveyed the injured child to Children’s Hospital, condition is unknown.

Dispatch Audio: 7 year old shot on Detroit’s west side

7 Year Old Female In Serious Condition

Detroit’s West Side: At 1:33AM officer’s from the 8th Precinct were dispatched to the 15400 block of Burgess on reports of a house ‘shot up’ and the caller’s niece shot. Arriving officers discovered a 7 year old female had been shot in the left leg, according to dispatch audio.

Detroit EMS Medic 3 was dispatched along with DEMS Supervisors 1103 & 1105. The child was conveyed by DEMS Medic 4 in serious condition to Sinai-Grace Hospital.
