Hamtramck 1:41PM: A Detroit Police 11th Precinct Scout Car was involved in an hit & run accident earlier today at Joseph Campau & Caniff.
Hamtramck Engine 1, Ladder Truck 1 and DEMS Medic 15 were dispatched to the scene for an injury traffic accident and vehicle into a building. DEMS Supervisor 1105 also responded and canceled DEMS Medic 15 when they discovered the officers had been conveyed to the hospital by other DPD Scouts. The vehicle that struck the officers continued on Joseph Campau until is struck the Surma Bazar Party Store.
The officer(s) were treated and released at a local hospital. The condition of the driver of the second vehicle is unknown.
