Detroit Police Searching For West Side Homicide Suspect

Detroit’s West Side:

WANTED: Suspect, Keith Talley Jr., wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side. On July 25th at approximately 8:45 p.m., in the 3500 block of 23rd Street, the suspect had an altercation with his neighbor (male, 40s). During the altercation, the suspect assaulted the victim and then fatally shot him before fleeing on a bicycle. The suspect is at large and is believed to be still armed and dangerous. If anyone has seen this suspect or knows of his whereabouts, they are asked to please call Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.

DEMS Medic 7 Flagged Down At Joy Rd & Livernois

Detroit’s West Side 4:02PM July 27 2021: Confirmed Shooting – DEMS Medic 7 called in a GSW (shooting) victim at Joy Rd & Livernois. It appears Detroit Medic 7 was flagged down by citizens. Following an investigation by the Detroit Police’s 2nd Precinct, scouts are currently canvassing the area around Ohio & Joy Rd looking for a scene. There is also a second scene at Joy Rd & Northlawn. DPD evidence techs are responding to process both scenes for evidence. Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a black Mercedes, last seen northbound on Ohio from Joy Rd.

Detroit’s NW Side 10:16PM July 26 2021: Confirmed Shooting: DPD’s 8th Precinct in the 18400 block of Bretton x Anvil for a shooting. DFD’s Engine 54 (MFR), DEMS Medic 5 have the run. Medic 5 conveying to Sinai-Grace Hospital with Detroit Fire’s Engine 54.

Detroit Police Investigating A Fatal Shooting, Braile & Midland

Detroit’s NW Side 9:45PM July 26 2021: Confirmed Fatal Shooting: Detroit Police’s 8th Precinct, Detroit Fire’s Engine 54 (MFR) and DEMS Medic 18 to the 15500 block of Braile x Midland on reports of a shooting. DPD Scout reports victim down in the street, at least 2-3 GSWs, 2 to the face and 1 to the arm. DFD’s Engine 54 is on scene as MFR (Medical First Response), reports a Code 7 (Fatal). DPD blocking off streets in the area. Detroit Police evidence techs have been dispatched to process the scene.

Detroit’s East Side 1:30AM July 26 2021: DPD’s 9th & 5th Precincts/Medic 55/DEMS Medic 13 to Mack & E Warren for a possible double shooting. Medics have been cancelled, it appears as if the GSW victim(s) have been privately conveyed according to DEMS dispatch audio. I can’t confirm the number of victims at this point. The shooting scene may be in the area of 3 Mile Dr & E Warren.
