Alligator Outsmarts The Man

Alligator Takes A Powder After Biting Child

Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 5th Precinct and DEMS Medic 24 were dispatched to 18300 E Warren, Riverview Health & Rehab, on reports of a child bitten by an alligator. How an alligator ended up in a retirement community is unknown. DEMS Medic 24 was first on the scene and reported the alligator was no longer there. DPD Scouts were canceled.

Sources tell me the alligator was last seen hightailing it towards Belle Isle. Medic 24 took care of the child and all is well. I have no idea how an alligator made it to a retirement community, unless we’re talking a really weird grandparent.

The alligator is still out there…waiting.

Alligators are not pets…no wildlife is, please refrain from partaking in such nonsense. Let them live their lives free of our <redacted> stupidity.

Multiple Alarm Apartment Fire April 7 2023

Detroit Fire’s 4 Alarm Fire La Salle Blvd & W Davison



Detroit 03:42AM April 7 2023: Detroit Fire was called to 13505 La Salle Blvd Friday morning on reports of an occupied apartment building fire. Engine 40 arrived on scene and reported a 4 story (5 Story) apartment building on fire, people jumping from the building.

Companies On Fire Scene: Engines 35 39 30 44 42 34 40 56 Hamtramck Engine 1. Ladder Trucks 7 18 22 17, Squads 2 3 5, Hazmat 1 2, Battalion Chief’s 5 8, Senior Chief 203, Deputy Chief 202, DEMS Medic’s 1 2 3 4 17, DEMS Supervisors 1103 1106 1107 1111, DPD Arson Cars 802 809, Fire Marshal’s 602 608.

4th Alarm Companies were cancelled following a MAYDAY call, members of Engine 39 were unaccounted for but found shortly after the MAYDAY by Senior Chief 203. Companies dispatched and cancelled were Engines 27 33, Ladder Truck 27 & Squad 6.

There were multiple civilian injuries on the fire scene, DEMS conveyed to local hospital. The American Red Cross also arrived on scene for around 17 residents needing assistance.

Michigan State Police are on scene assisting the Detroit Fire Department with a drone for mapping and photos of the fire scene.

The building is a total loss. It doesn’t appear as if any firefighters were injured during the fight. Below dispatch audio is a rather lengthy.

Double Fatal Fire On Detroit’s East Side

Elderly Woman & Son Dead Following Fire On Kirby


Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Fire was dispatched to the 3400 Block of Kirby early Friday morning at around 500AM. Detroit Fire’s Squad 3 was notified of the fire by citizen appeal at their station house at Grand Blvd & Moran.

Squad 3 called for a box once they arrived on the fire scene. Squad 3 reported 2 people may be trapped inside burning dwelling. Squad 3 made a quick search of the premises upon arrival.

Companies on Fire Scene:

Engines 9, 41, 46, 17, Ladder Truck 6, Squad 3, Battalion Chief’s 1/5, Senior Chief 203, DEMS Medics 10/14

Engine 46 was the first engine on scene and stretched.

Engine 41 discovered a victim in the basement and that person was evacuated by firefighters. A mention of a younger female with burns was broadcast on the fire scene. Another victim; deceased, was discovered on the 2nd floor by Squad 3 shortly afterward.

Victims were later identified as 96 year old Katherine Hickman and 56 year old Dirk Hickman.

DISPATCH AUDIO: Michigan State University Shooting

3 Dead, 5 Critically Wounded At MSU

Michigan State University, Lansing Mi: MSU Police & Public Safety were dispatched on Monday evening around 8:18PM on reports of shots being fired at Berkey Hall at 506 E Circle Dr. 911 Dispatch reported multiple victims. Multiple agencies from surrounding communities responded.


Suspect Dead From Self Inflicted Gunshot Wound


Throughout the evening 911 operators were taking reports of multiple instances of shots being fired on campus. Students were ordered to shelter in place as the search for the suspect was taking place.

EMS Units from multiple agencies conveyed the shooting victims to local hospitals. MSU Police & Public Safety reported 3 confirmed fatalities and 5 with critical wounds.

The suspect was described as a Black male, shorter in stature, red shoes, jean jacket, wearing a baseball cap that is navy with a lighter brim.

The suspect was located off campus after a citizen reported seeing a person matching the description of the suspect. MSU Police provided the public with 2 photos of the suspect earlier.

UPDATE via MSU Public Safety: The person who committed these homicides is 43-year-old Anthony Dwayne McRae. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety (MSU DPPS) is saddened to share information regarding the tragedy that occurred on campus Monday evening. We cannot begin to fathom the immeasurable amount of pain that our campus community is feeling. We want to ensure our community that our department as well as our law enforcement partners will conduct a comprehensive and thorough investigation regarding this tragic incident. Five victims remain in the hospital in critical condition. Two of the deceased victims have been identified as the following:

Brian Fraser, Sophomore, Grosse Pointe

Alexandria Verner, Junior, Clawson

MSU has released the name of the 3rd victim

Arielle Anderson, Junior, Grosse Pointe

UPDATE: There have been reports of a note found on the suspect at the time of locating him. We can confirm that there was in fact a note and it is currently being investigated by law enforcement.




According to dispatch audio the suspect was located by the Michigan State Police on foot in the area of Lake Lansing Rd & N Larch St. As troopers attempted contact with the suspect, the suspect shot himself in the head. Officers/Troopers on scene immediately started CPR until EMS units arrived. The suspect was later pronounced dead on the scene.

2 handguns and several magazines of ammo were recovered from the suspect and the suspect’s backpack.

All five victims at Sparrow Hospital are in critical condition. The suspect is a 43-year-old male and is not affiliated in any way with MSU.

DISPATCH AUDIO: Michigan State Police Officer Involved Shooting, Detroit’s West Side

Suspect Shoots at MSP’s Trooper 2

Detroit 730PM 1/24/2023: Michigan State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 reported having a green laser pointed at them from a window of a residence in the 12800 block of Terry St at around 7:30 PM Tuesday evening. Trooper 2 asked for assistance from MSP Troopers. As ground units were making the scene, Trooper 2 reported the subject appeared to be armed with a long gun, then started firing on the helicopter.

Arriving Troopers arrived on scene, located the suspect and the officer involved shooting occurred. The suspect was reported down. The weapon was either in the hands of the suspect or very close by when he fell.

DEMS Medic 27 was dispatched to the scene and staged nearby.

MSP Troopers secured the scene while gathering assets to approach and secure not only the suspect but the residence where the suspect was located. Troopers began their call-outs or announcements in case there were other occupants in the house at around 755PM. Trooper 2 advised that at no time during the incident did they notice any movement from other than the suspect and a dog on scene.

Detroit Police’s 2nd Precinct + responded but were prevented from entering the scene, tasked with shutting down the area and securing the perimeter, closing down EB & WB Tyler from Greenfield to Grand River.

The suspect and residence was soon cleared by MSP’s SRT and DEMS Medic 27 pulled around to the scene, declaring the suspect deceased. Trooper 2 returned to base once the scene was secured and performed inspections to see if they had been hit by any of the rounds fired by the suspect.

Officer Involved Shooting: 01/24/23, at 7:30 PM Location: 12857 Terry St., Detroit, MI. 

The Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified by Trooper 2 (on patrol in the City of Detroit) that they were being hit by a green laser. The suspect was shining the laser from the second story of the address. Moments later, Trooper 2 advised that they were now being shot at from the same location. Troopers from the Meteo South post responded and approached the home on foot. The suspect came out of the home and started firing at which time trooper (s) returned fire. The male suspect has died on scene. Members of the Homicide Task Force have responded and are investigating. More information will be released as the investigation continues.

Michigan State Police Update #2

Officer Involved Shooting Update:
Members of the joint homicide task force are continuing their investigation in to the shooting involving two state troopers from the Metro South Post. The suspect has been identified as a 33 year old male from Lincoln Park. Pending any further information, it has been determined the suspect was staying in the abandoned home on Terry. Five firearms were recovered from the home and one was recovered from him. Currently, detectives have not been able to determine a motive. There were no other people in the home at the time of the shooting.There were no injuries to troopers or members of the public. Trooper Two (Helicopter) was not hit in the incident.

OIS Michigan State Police: MSP Troopers have been involved in an OIS in the 12800 block of Terry x Tyler. The suspect is down, DPD scouts also responding. It doesn’t appear as if any Troopers have been injured.
