December 21, 2016 – 12:00 a.m. to December 21, 2016 – 11:59 p.m.

NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

Precinct: 5th Precinct
Location: 700 block of Tennessee
Time: 12/21/16 1:45 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The suspect (brother) was playing with a gun when the weapon discharged fatally wounding the 16 year old male victim.

ARRESTED:
Suspect – Black male, 18.

Precinct: 10th Precinct
Location: 5000 block of Dailey
Time: 12/21/16 9:35 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The two victims (female, 32 and male, 23) were shot outside of the location and treated for non-fatal injuries.

The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Location: Midland/Kentfield
Time: 12/21/16 11:30 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 20 year old male victim was retrieving an item from the truck of his vehicle when the suspect approached, announced a hold-up, then fired a shot striking the victim in the body.

He was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, wearing a ski mask, 6’3, 180 lbs., wearing all black, armed.

Detroit Major Crime Summary For 20 December 2016

December 20, 2016 – 12:00 a.m. to December 20, 2016 – 11:59 p.m.

NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

Precinct: 7th Precinct
Location: 2000 block of Prince Hall Dr.
Time: 12/20/16 4:10 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 27 year old female victim exited her silver 2006 Jeep Commander and was approached by the suspects who demanded her keys.

She complied and the victims escaped in her vehicle. The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect # 1 – Black male, 21-24, uncombed afro, wearing dark clothing, armed.
Suspect # 2 – Black male, 21-24, 5’9”, wearing dark clothing.
Suspect # 3 – Black male, 30-35, wearing dark clothing, driving a dark colored Chevy Impala

Precinct: 8th Precinct
Location: 19000 block of Bentler
Time: 12/20/16 10:00 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Suspects were observed inside of the location by the two victims (female, 49 and male, 26).

The victims were physically assaulted and unknown items were taken from the house.

The victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

WANTED:
Suspect # 1 – Black male, 6’1”-6’2”, wearing a mask and gloves, armed.
Suspect # 2 – Black male, 6’1”-6’2”, wearing a mask and gloves, armed.

Location: Greiner/Alcoy
Time: 12/20/16 11:09 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The suspect approached the 51 year old male victim and demanded his maroon 2008 Chevy Impala.

The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, 22-27, 5’8”, light complexion, light beard, wearing a gray jogging suit with a hood, armed.

Location: 20000 block of Pierson
Time: 12/20/16 7:45 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Two males victims were discovered fatally shot in the basement of the location.

The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

13 Year Old Shot Dead By Brother In Another Detroit Accidental Shooting

13 Year Old Detroit Teen Shot Dead In Overnight Shooting

East Detroit’s 5th Precinct – December 21 2016: Another teen has been shot dead in an apparent accidental shooting on Detroit’s east side overnight.

Detroit Police officers from the 5th Precinct responded to the 700 block of Tennessee on the east side around 2:00am this morning on reports of a shooting.

Police officers arriving on scene discovered a 13 year old male had been shot by his 18 year old brother.

The young men were reportedly at the home by themselves and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown.

Details on how they acquired the firearm are unknown at this time.

A Detroit EMS unit was dispatched to the scene with a 5-6 minute ETA, but officer’s on scene decided to transport the victim to St John Hospital at 2:07AM.

The teen died at the hospital.

Police believe the shooting was an accident.

This incident follows another accidental shooting of a 13 year old on December 12 2016. In that incident, a 13 year old was shot and killed on Detroit’s west side.

Former Buffalo Bills Linebacker Robert Eddins Shot Dead In Detroit

Former Buffalo Bill’s Football Player Robert Eddins Found Shot To Death In Detroit

Northwest Detroit – December 20 2016: Detroit Police were called to the 20300 Block of Pierson on Detroit’s northwest side early Tuesday evening around 6:00PM after the bodies of 2 black males were discovered in the basement of a dwelling on Pierson St.

One of those victims was later identified as former Ball State football player and Buffalo Bill’s linebacker Robert Eddins , 28, of Detroit.

Police found the 2 bodies of the men with multiple gunshot wounds after the father of Robert Eddins came home and discovered his son and another man, identified as 32 year old Ricky McFarland, shot multiple times.

Detroit Fire also dispatched an engine to the scene for a gas leak inside the dwelling.

Officers on the scene requested evidence techs and homicide investigators to the scene.

Robert Eddins attended Crockett High School (now closed) on Detroit’s east side from 2003-2006 where he lettered in football and was considered the 28th best football player in the State of Michigan at the time. Mr Eddins also made the Detroit News All Stars in his senior year.

While attending Ball State University from 2006 to 2010, he managed to again letter in football where his career sack total (17) ranks sixth in school history.

After going undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft, Eddins signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Bills. He was placed on the injured reserve list on September 14, and waived with an injury settlement on September 20.

He was signed by the Bills to their practice squad on November 30.

On January 6, 2012, Eddins was signed to the Buffalo Bills. While making a rise up the depth chart in that summers training camp on August 21 in the Rochester, New York, Eddins was quoted as saying “Being inconsistent makes you non-existent”.

Mr Eddins played 1 game with the Buffalo Bills.

He was the son of Robert & Bridgett Eddins III.

Precinct: 10th Precinct
Location: 3000 block of Calvert
Time: 12/19/16 12:00 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The three victims were shot and the location and treated for non-fatal injuries. The victims were uncooperative and would not give any information pertaining to this incident.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Location: 12000 block of Stout
Time: 12/19/16 9:36 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 49 year old male victim was fatally shot while inside of his gold GMC Yukon. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.
