January 1, 2019 By Motor City 911

New Year’s Eve On Detroit’s East Side

Multiple…and I mean MULTIPLE bells being wrung in Detroit…sorry, I mean shots being fired. Too many that DPD is just chasing ghosts…Supervisors bringing their officers in to the station….just getting stupid.

Detroit – New Year’s Eve 2019: Detroit’s east side explodes in gunfire. Follow videographer CharlieBo313 as he drives the street’s of Detroit in the early morning hours of January 1 2019.

Detroit residents have a tradition of firing of weapons into the air on New Year’s Eve. Gunfire started early and officer’s of the Detroit Police Department chased shots fired calls all evening, running from one call to the next.

City leaders have asked that ‘bells be wrung’ instead of firing bullets into the air, pretty sure that message was lost in translation somewhere along the line. In anticipation of the gunfire, Detroit emergency services announced that all DPD scout cars, fire apparatus and EMS rigs were to find shelter if not engaged on a working run. Below is that announcement from Detroit Fire’s EMS, posted last night on our twitter account.

Dispatch Audio: DPD Nabs 2 Toddlers In Early Morning Foot Chase, Detroit’s West Side

December 28, 2018 By Motor City 911

RUN! It’s the Po-Po!

Detroit’s West Side: Two toddlers lead Detroit Police Officer’s from the 12th Precinct on a foot pursuit in Detroit’s west side early this morning.

At 1:38am Friday morning, a 911 caller reported two children, ages 4 and 5, loitering around the Exxon Gas Station at Appoline & W 8 Mile.

Two little girls (4 and 5 years old) were seen outside a gas station at West 8 Mile and Avalon chilling… Scouts now have them spotted near Saint Martin and Meijer. A foot chase has now ensued.

Toddlers Appeared Unarmed But Suspicious

DPD units from the 12th Precinct made the scene shortly after being dispatched and caught up with ‘Thelma & Louise Lite’ at St Martins & Meyers.

Officers attempted to make contact with the toddlers but, like toddlers everywhere, they beat-feet northbound on Meyers towards the World in Action Christian Center.

Louise, distracted by something shiny, stopped and was taken into custody.

Thelma, tired and cranky, gave up shortly afterwards.

Interviewed later, Thelma said “If Louise hadn’t mistaken a piece of aluminum foil for a tiara, we would’ve made it.”

Child Protective Services were apparently notified.

As usual, information presented is gathered from dispatch audio. Facts surrounding the incident may change with further investigation and probably will. Some of the above is pure fiction, but that doesn’t stop some from believing it, it’s the Internet after-all.
