2 Dogs Shot, Wounded By Detroit Police & Left To Die On East Side Street

DPD Officers Shoot 2 Dogs On Beals St


Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Police 7th Precinct officers were called to the 2400 block of Beals St earlier today on reports of shots fired. A 911 caller reported that a black male was running down the street, then shooting 6 times.

Soon after arrival, a 7th Precinct scout reported shots fired. 2 dogs were shot by officers, they hadn’t died and a supervisor had to contact Detroit Animal Control to have them “picked up”. Animal Control eventually made the scene and dealt with the animals. The male running down the street firing rounds off, who knows.

Could you have one of the great dog killers give me a call on my cell phone please, I got 2 dogs over here that have been shot and they aren’t dead yet and we can’t just leave them….

Detroit EMS Medic Involved In Accident While Transporting Cardiac Arrest Patient

DEMS Medic 3 Struck @ Pembroke & Schaefer



Detroit’s West Side: Detroit EMS Medic 3 was struck early this morning around 4:00AM while transporting an elderly patient in cardiac arrest to Sinai-Grace Hospital. Detroit Fire’s Engine 30 & DEMS Medic 3 had been dispatched to Ardmore & Norfolk on reports of an elderly male in cardiac arrest.

While transporting the patient to Sinai-Grace, DEMS Medic 3 was struck by a vehicle at Pembroke & Schaefer. Both Engine 30 & DEMS Medic 3 notified dispatch and a DEMS supervisor and an additional Medic (18) were dispatched to the accident scene.

Detroit Police evidence techs were later dispatched to Sinai-Grace Hospital to process DEMS Medic 3’s rig and also to Pembroke & Schaefer to process the civilian vehicle involved in the collision.

There were no injuries to DEMS Medic 3’s technicians or to the driver of the vehicle that struck them, according to dispatch tapes.

The fate of the conveyed cardiac arrest patient is unknown.

Detroit Fire’s Engine 56 Finds Body Inside Burned Vehicle

Body Found Inside Vehicle – Albany & Hamlet


Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Fire’s Engine 56 discovered a body inside a burned out vehicle early Friday morning around 4:45AM. Engine 56 was dispatched to the vehicle fire at Hamlet & Albany and found a body burned beyond recognition. Detroit Police Arson was notified of the discovery.

BODY RECOVERED IN ST. CLAIR RIVER BELIEVED TO BE MISSING SWIMMER

(Clay Township)  A body was recovered in the St. Clair River this morning and is believed to be the missing swimmer from Friday night.

St. Clair County Central Dispatch received a call at about 7:45 a.m. from a relative of Riley Gleason, who had been missing since jumping off a boat Friday evening.  The relative had rented a plane and spotted a body off Russell Island. 

Algonac Fire and Rescue sent a boat into the area and located the body.  It was transported back to shore and taken to the morgue at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.  The St. Clair County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an examination to make positive identification of the person located.  The M.E.’s Office has given no timeline on when they will release their findings.

Members of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team had been searching for Gleason since he was first reported missing on Friday night shortly before 9:00 p.m.  Gleason had jumped off a boat that was in the St. Clair River behind the St. Clair Inn.  He immediately began calling for help.  Friends attempted to assist, but Gleason disappeared under the water.

Also assisting in the search efforts were dive teams from the Sanilac, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.  The U.S. Coast Guard, St. Clair Fire Department, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Border Patrol.

Man Shot During East Side Carjacking, Left To Die In Street

Man Shot & Killed During Carjacking

Detroit’s East Side: A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening at around 9:45PM @ Agnes St & Belvedere St on Detroit’s east side.

Detroit Police received a 911 call stating a man had been shot in the middle of the street. Upon arrival officers found a 31 year old man down in the street suffering from gunshots wounds.

Witnesses told the police the victim was shot while he was inside his vehicle on Belvidere, dragged from the vehicle and left to die in the street. Detroit EMS Medic 12 pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

The carjacker, described on dispatch tapes as a black male wearing a red bandana over his face, left the scene in the victim’s 2005 silver Ford 500, last seen travelling southbound on Belvidere from Agnes. Michigan license place DVU 5015.
