Armed Robbery Of A Citizen – 7th Precinct

Detroit – March 26 2017: An armed robbery of a person occurred in the 7th Precinct @ St Cyril & Nagel in Detroit’s east side Sunday afternoon.

The female victim was robbed of her purse, $52.00, a cellphone, credit cards, a social security card and a set of keys.

Suspect is a black male, 23 years old, braids, 5’5″ in height with a medium complexion. The suspect was armed with a stainless .45 caliber semi-auto.

Suspects vehicle is a older model green Chevrolet Malibu with no plates. 2nd suspect and driver of the vehicle described as a black female wearing a white flowered shirt.

Update: Detroit Police identify the dead 16 year old as the grandson of a recently retired DPD Captain.

West Detroit-11:33PM Saturday March 25 2017: Detroit Police were called to Steve’s Soul Food for reports of shots fired inside and outside of a building that houses Steve’s Soul Food and a banquet hall.

The banquet hall, which occupies the top floor of the building, was the scene of an argument that spilled outside.

10th Precinct scouts arrived on the scene and discovered multiple people shot, some still on scene and some privately conveyed to local hospitals.

Initial radio transmissions stated at least 1 female victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

Upon further investigation, more victims were discovered.

A DPD Scout on the scene mentioned at least 1 k-type, DPD cop-speak for fatal, which proved to be false at the time.

The suspected shooter was described as a light skin black male, 18-20 years old, 5′ 8″ in height, short hair, small build, wearing jeans, a red shirt, burgundy jacket and was driving a red or maroon Dodge Challenger. He was armed with a blue steel automatic handgun.

The shooting took place after an argument between two groups of teens.

“There was two groups of kids. There was some sort of argument. One of the groups pulled out firearms and shot the other group,” said officer Jennifer Moreno, a police spokeswoman.

1 victim was transported by DEMS Medic 48 to Henry Ford Hospital and 1 victim was privately conveyed to Henry Ford.

2 victims were privately conveyed to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Another victim, described as a 17 year old female, was privately conveyed to Children’s Hospital.

1 victim, a 16 year old male listed in extremely critical condition has since died.

1 victim was also described as the son of a “family member”, meaning a member of the Detroit Police Department.

Police say he’s the grandson of a recently retired Detroit Police Captain.

Detroit Police & FBI Search For Children Missing Since Tuesday

Detroit – Palmer Park – 12th Precinct: Detroit Police and the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children FBI Task Force are searching the area around Palmer Park for missing siblings Zamar & Marcia Cox, 1 & 3.

Serious Missing:

Zamar Cox – Black Male 3 years old, Light complexion, 4 feet tall, 45 lbs and was last seen wearing gray jogging pant and a red sweatshirt.

Marcia Cox is a 1 year old black female, last seen wearing a one piece pink outfit.

The mother states she allowed the children to visit her father and he never returned them home.

The father of the children alleges he brought the children home to the 900 block of Whitmore at 5:00PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Detroit Police stated in a news release that the mother has been displaying “mental issues”.

Search teams from the Detroit Police and Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children FBI Task Force are currently searching the neighborhood around Palmer Park, located in an area north of downtown Detroit.

Teams are said to be using K-9s searching dumpsters, vehicles and open areas in the area.

Detroit Police: Eviction Goes Bad, DPD Under Fire

Detroit Police Under Fire In Detroit’s Southwest

 

Detroit’s 4th Precinct – Southwest Detroit: DPD was called to provide assistance to Wayne County bailiffs this afternoon around 4:30 PM and came under fire from a man armed with a rifle.

The suspect retreated into a silver van parked at the rear of the residence at 827 Wheelock in Detroit’s southwest.

The suspect has exited the van at one point and again fired on officers. DPD units did return fire and it’s unknown if the suspect has been struck. No officers have been injured.

The situation is ongoing at the time of this writing. DPD SRT has arrived on scene and has taken command of the situation. Check back for updates. The below dispatch audio starts when the officers call for backup.

West Detroit Home Invasion Turns Deadly

Detroit’s West Side 08:03 AM EST- 3rd Precinct – March 21 2017: A home invasion turned deadly on Tuesday morning when gunfire erupted, killing 1 male.

A suspect, the armed ex-boyfriend of a resident in the apartment, kicked in the door @ 3909 Wabash according to police and was shot by the girlfriend’s brother.

The 21 year old intruder expired at the scene. Detroit EMS was on scene and pronounced.
