12 Year Old Boy Dies In Highland Park Blaze

Highland Park, Michigan: 0500am November 20 2017 – Fatal house fire in Highland Park, Michigan. Companies from the Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park Fire Departments were called to the 200 block of Connecticut in Highland Park early Monday morning on reports of an occupied dwelling fire.

Arriving companies found the 2 story dwelling fully involved.

Detroit Fire’s Central Dispatch had advised responding companies that 2 civilians might still be inside the burning house.

Searches were conducted and a 12 year old boy was found in an attic bedroom by 8th Battalion firefighters from Engine 44.

The 12 year old boy succumbed to his injuries and a young girl was injured, her condition is unknown.

Engine 35 issued a disposition of “undetermined” as the cause of the fire. Highland Park fire investigators continue to investigate.

Double Fatal Shooting On Detroit’s West Side

Double Fatal Shooting On Carter Street

Detroit’s West Side: 700am November 20, 2017 – Two people were shot and killed early this morning on Detroit’s west side. Detroit Police officers from the 10th & 2nd Precincts were dispatched to the area of Carter & Holmur early this morning on reports of a shooting.

Detroit Fire’s Engine 39 and Detroit EMS Medic 10 also responded to the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to enter the residence but were met with dogs, 1 female was discovered injured after jumping from a window.

Subsequent searches of the home failed to turn up a suspect in the shooting. The 2 dead victims were found on the upper floor of the residence. Both victims were declared dead on the scene by DEMS Medic 10.

Suspect is described as a light complected Black Male.

Edit: Richmond Kentucky – The shooter wanted in the murder of the man & woman on Carter Street has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Murder On The East Side – Fatal Shooting In Chandler Park

Detroit November 18 2017 0330am: Detroit Police were called early this morning to Olga & Malcolm on reports of a man down in the middle of the street.

Responding officers from the 5th Precinct discovered the victim had been shot in the left eye and was deceased at the scene. Supervisors and evidence techs were dispatched to the scene.

Robbery & Shooting On Woodward

Detroit: A robbery and shooting on Woodward led to a pursuit through the streets of Detroit early Friday morning. The robbery & shooting of a 36 year old transgendered man took place in the area of 17800 Woodward in the 12th Precinct.

Police were called to the scene at around 01:42am and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The suspects vehicle was described as a Red GMC Yukon with tinted windows. Witnesses described 3 suspects armed with a scoped long gun. 1 suspect was described as wearing University of Michigan clothing.

A 12th Precinct officer spotted the vehicle at Ferris & John R in Highland Park, giving chase until they lost sight of the vehicle, terminating the chase while southbound on Woodward.

The scout estimated the speed of the chase @ 75mph.

Units from the 12th Precinct and Detroit Public Schools once again spotted the fleeing vehicle southbound on Woodward @ Clairmount at a high rate of speed.

The chase terminated at Leland & Russell when the fleeing vehicle struck some barricades. The 3 suspects bailed from the vehicle and 1 suspect was chased down and taken into custody by a 12th Precinct officer.

Michigan State Police and Detroit Police K9’s conducted a track but the 2 other suspects remain at large.

A scoped long gun was also recovered from the vehicle.

The 36 year old victim was conveyed to St Johns Hospital by Detroit EMS Medic 1. The victim had 4 gunshot wounds to the back and left arm. She’s awake but has 2 bullets lodged near her spine and has lost feeling in her left side.

Information is gleamed from numerous sources including but not limited to Detroit Police frequencies, Detroit Fire frequencies and National Weather Service/NOAA weather products.

While monitoring police and fire frequencies can be informational it must be remembered that information gathered through these means is often subject to further investigation. We do not have reporters on the ground to verify reports delivered by local law enforcement/fire agencies. Our information is typically breaking within seconds of the incident taking place, we do not have the luxury of waiting hours for press conferences or official press releases. Information disseminated is literally breaking at the moment. What might be reported on the ground from police units/scouts or fire companies may actually change once the incident has gone under review/investigation.

We focus on major incidents including but not limited to shootings, murders, felony assaults, major disturbances, major traffic collisions and working dwelling/building fires. On occasion we’ll report on instances of national interest, typically incidents involving police and fire agencies.

We are NOT a 24 hour 7 day a week news service, you’d be stretching to even call us a news service.
