23 Year Old Murdered On Detroit’s NE Side, Morang & Somerset

 

Precinct: 9th Precinct
Location: 11000 block of Morang
Time: 11/24/16 12:10 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 23 year old male victim was observed fatally shot outside of the location. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Home Invader on Detroit’s West Side Shot Dead By Homeowner

Detroit’s West Side November 25 2016: Two home invaders picked the wrong home on the west side early this morning. 2 B/M perps entered a home on Lyndon & Asbury Park in west Detroit around 3:00AM and were met by the elderly homeowner in the kitchen. Unfortunately for 1 of the dirtbags, the homeowner had a weapon and knew how to use it.

The homeowner fired 3 rounds with at least 1 taking effect, flushing the screaming perp straight to Hell. The shot perp ended up bleeding out on the linoleum floor of the kitchen while the 2nd ran screaming like a little girl from the residence. Detroit EMS pronounced the dbag while on scene.

The above audio captures some of the discussion between the first units on scene and dispatch.

Detroit Police are still investigating.

Masked, Gloved Man Found Dead In Front of Kush Mart

DETROIT November 25 2016: Detroit Police were flagged down earlier today in the area of Livernois & Chalfonte on Detroit’s west side. The reporting person (RP) told the DPD scout that there was a body laying in the parking lot of the Kush Mart, a marijuana dispensary at 15001 Livernois Ave.

The 10th Precinct officer discovered the body of a black male, 20-30 years old was wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face and his hands were gloved with surgical gloves. The scout immediately notified dispatch that the subject might be a suspect in some sort of crime. The above audio captures that moment.

Surveillance cameras positioned nearby may offer some clue as to why the guy was wearing a mask and how he managed to bleed out in the parking lot of a marijuana dispensary. Shell casings were discovered near the building that might help investigators unravel this mystery.

Impatient Armed Robber Shoots & Kills Victim

DETROIT October 22, 2016: An impatient armed robber shot and killed a 26 year old man sitting outside a residence on Detroit’s east side early Saturday morning. Police say that a man armed with a shotgun approached a 26 year old man sitting in his vehicle at 5:30am, demanding his belongings. Taking too long to respond to the perps demands, the suspect fired 1 round striking the victim. The suspect then ran from the scene in an unknown direction.

Witnesses described the gunman as a B/M wearing a high school type letterman’s jacket with leather sleeves. A witness to the incident conveyed the victim to the Detroit Receiving Hospital on St Antoine Street where the victim later died of his wounds. The incident took place in the 20200 block of Wexford on Detroit’s east side.

Fatal Shooting 10/10/2015 7 Mile & Forrer NW Detroit

2Detroit Fire Department’s Squad 1 was informed by the public that a possible shooting had taken place on 7 Mile & Forrer in Detroit’s northwest. Squad 1 had been on another call when they were flagged down by citizens. DFD Squad 1 was then assigned by central dispatch to the shooting and made the scene with units of the Detroit Police Department and Detroit Medics. The victim was pronounced at the scene by Detroit EMS. Hours following the shooting, Detroit police units were met by an angry and violent crowd throwing projectiles at officers. Additional backup was requested and numerous police units were dispatched. The shooting scene was made secure shortly thereafter.

DETROIT (WXYZ) October 10 2016: A storeowner on Detroit’s west side has shot and killed a man police say tried to rob him. The shooting happened Monday evening outside the Hip Hop Shop on Seven Mile near Greenfield. The deceased man’s family says he just had a baby a few weeks ago. Police say the shooting happened just before 5:00 and that the victim was shot by the storeowner of the Hip Hop Shop.

The Hip Hop Shop was featured in the movie 8 mile with Eminem.

Police at the scene say it appears the owner was warding off a would be robber.
Police are not releasing the name of the victim. We’re told the storeowner was taken into custody for questioning.

He is a licensed concealed pistol holder.
