13 Year Old Shot Dead By Brother In Another Detroit Accidental Shooting

13 Year Old Detroit Teen Shot Dead In Overnight Shooting

East Detroit’s 5th Precinct – December 21 2016: Another teen has been shot dead in an apparent accidental shooting on Detroit’s east side overnight.

Detroit Police officers from the 5th Precinct responded to the 700 block of Tennessee on the east side around 2:00am this morning on reports of a shooting.

Police officers arriving on scene discovered a 13 year old male had been shot by his 18 year old brother.

The young men were reportedly at the home by themselves and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown.

Details on how they acquired the firearm are unknown at this time.

A Detroit EMS unit was dispatched to the scene with a 5-6 minute ETA, but officer’s on scene decided to transport the victim to St John Hospital at 2:07AM.

The teen died at the hospital.

Police believe the shooting was an accident.

This incident follows another accidental shooting of a 13 year old on December 12 2016. In that incident, a 13 year old was shot and killed on Detroit’s west side.

Former Buffalo Bill’s Football Player Robert Eddins Found Shot To Death In Detroit

Northwest Detroit – December 20 2016: Detroit Police were called to the 20300 Block of Pierson on Detroit’s northwest side early Tuesday evening around 6:00PM after the bodies of 2 black males were discovered in the basement of a dwelling on Pierson St.

One of those victims was later identified as former Ball State football player and Buffalo Bill’s linebacker Robert Eddins , 28, of Detroit.

Police found the 2 bodies of the men with multiple gunshot wounds after the father of Robert Eddins came home and discovered his son and another man, identified as 32 year old Ricky McFarland, shot multiple times.

Detroit Fire also dispatched an engine to the scene for a gas leak inside the dwelling.

Officers on the scene requested evidence techs and homicide investigators to the scene.

Robert Eddins attended Crockett High School (now closed) on Detroit’s east side from 2003-2006 where he lettered in football and was considered the 28th best football player in the State of Michigan at the time. Mr Eddins also made the Detroit News All Stars in his senior year.

While attending Ball State University from 2006 to 2010, he managed to again letter in football where his career sack total (17) ranks sixth in school history.

After going undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft, Eddins signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Bills. He was placed on the injured reserve list on September 14, and waived with an injury settlement on September 20.

He was signed by the Bills to their practice squad on November 30.

On January 6, 2012, Eddins was signed to the Buffalo Bills. While making a rise up the depth chart in that summers training camp on August 21 in the Rochester, New York, Eddins was quoted as saying “Being inconsistent makes you non-existent”.

Mr Eddins played 1 game with the Buffalo Bills.

He was the son of Robert & Bridgett Eddins III.

Precinct: 10th Precinct
Location: 3000 block of Calvert
Time: 12/19/16 12:00 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The three victims were shot and the location and treated for non-fatal injuries. The victims were uncooperative and would not give any information pertaining to this incident.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Time: 12/19/16 9:36 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 49 year old male victim was fatally shot while inside of his gold GMC Yukon. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Precinct: 9th Precinct
Location: 14000 block of Tacoma
Time: 12/18/16 3:10 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 31 year old male victim exited his vehicle when the suspects in a dark colored vehicle stopped in front of the location and fired shots, fatally wounding the victim.

WANTED:
Suspect – Four Unknown males, armed.

Location: Mack/I-75 Fwy. Service Drive
Time: 12/18/16 9:50 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 27 year old male victim was walking in the same area as the suspect, when the suspect asked the victim “What are you looking at” and then fired a shot, striking the victim in the body. He was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, wearing a black wool coat, armed

Precinct: 4th Precinct
Location: 9000 block of Michigan Ave.
Time: 12/17/16 1:26 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 52 year old male victim was walking with a female to a vehicle when the suspect exited a black 2004-2006 Acura and fired shots, striking the victim in the body. He was treated for a non-fatal injury.

WANTED:
Suspect – Hispanic male, 5’8”, wearing a black winter hat and a black jacket, armed

Location: 2000 block of Monterey
Time: 12/17/16 8:30 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Suspect # 1 approached the 39 year old male victim, physically assaulted him and then took his silver 1999 Nissan Maxima. The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect # 1 – Black male, 18-20, 5’6”, 150lbs, med complexion, wearing a black ski mask, gray hooded sweater, armed.
Suspect # 2 – Black male, 18-20, 5’8”, 140lbs, med complexion, wearing a black skull cap, dark clothes.

Location: 16000 block of Cruse
Time: 12/17/16 10:30 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 26 year old female victim was parked in front of the location when the suspect approached and demanded her blue 2009 Saturn Aura. She was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, wearing a red sweater with a hood, black mask, armed.
