Fatal Double Shooting On Detroit’s West Side

Detroit February 7 2018 – 8:10PM: Detroit Police from the 10th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting on Belleterre & Welton Wednesday evening.

 

A 911 caller reported 2 men sitting in a gray Toyota had been shot.

Responding units found two men inside the vehicle shot in the 9900 block of Belleterre, 1 fatally and the other with serious wounds.

Detroit Fire and DEMS Medic 1 also responded. The non fatal victim was conveyed by DEMS Medic 1 to St John’s Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Detroit PD homicide, shooting team and evidence technicians were dispatched. A Detroit Police chaplain was also dispatched to the scene.

Man Shot On Detroit’s West Side Wednesday Morning

Detroit February 7 2018 11:09AM: Man shot on Detroit’s west side Wednesday morning. This shooting is a little easier to understand.

Detroit Police from the 2nd Precinct received a call reporting a shooting on the 11600 block of Appoline, just north of Plymouth, this morning around 11:09AM.

The victim notified 911 that he had been walking down Appoline when he was robbed and shot 3 times by a black male wearing a t-shirt.

Multiple units from the 2nd Precinct responded and confirmed the shooting. Detroit EMS Medic 14 responded and conveyed the victim to Sinai-Grace Hospital

The victims condition is unknown and information on the shooter wasn’t available.

Detroit’s East Side 10:15AM: Detroit Police units from the 7th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting early this morning in the area of Gratiot & Mack.

This is where it gets confusing and why it’s such a pain in the ass figuring out just what happens on the streets of Detroit sometimes.

The audio consists of about 2 hours of audio (Below), stripped down, edited, cussed at and finally cut into something that might be understood.

The male apparently called 911 stating he’d been shot. A gray Dodge Durango was mentioned as being used to convey the injured gentleman to the hospital by Detroit EMS. Detroit EMS doesn’t drive Dodge Durango’s but what the hell, just go with it.

The victim eventually made it to Detroit Receiving Hospital and units of the 7th Precinct were busy checking out possible locations of the shooting. Gratiot & Mack was one of them and the other, at Sylvester & Belvidere, still in the 7th Precinct.

Officers were unable to find any type of scene at Gratiot & Mack and concentrated their attention on Sylvester & Belvidere. It’s still unknown if they found any evidence of a shooting scene.

Officer at Detroit Regional Hospital interviewed the leaking victim and discovered he’s been walking on Sylvester near Belvidere when the suspect shot him.

The Dodge Durango, no clue…maybe it was the suspects vehicle and maybe due to maintenance issues DEMS is now driving Dodge Durangos.

The suspect, a black male in his 40s, armed with an unknown type handgun is still on the loose somewhere in Detroit.

So, the victim has a GSW and his condition is unknown, he was shot at Sylvester & Belvidere on Detroit’s east side, the suspect is still loose with an unknown type handgun and I can’t believe you’re still here.

Man Found Shot On Monday’s Fatal Shooting Scene

Detroit – February 6 2018 11:40AM: Detroit Police from the 11th Precinct returned to Monday’s fatal shooting scene on Fleming & E Lantz on reports of a man shot.

Responding officer called out a “good shooting” on arrival and requested Detroit EMS. Units on scene notified the 11th Precinct the victim had been shot yesterday following the fatal shooting we broke yesterday.

Apparently, the victim had been laying there all night bleeding out.

Detroit EMS Medic 14 conveyed the victim to DRH. His condition is unknown.

Responding to the scene of the shooting, an 11th Precinct supervisor was involved in a non-injury accident at St Aubin & E Lantz.

Detroit’s West Side February 5 2018 640PM: Detroit Police units from the 10th Precinct responded to reports of an 83 year old man being shot @ Ewald Circle & Cortland on Detroit’s west side.

A local business at 3636 Ewald Circle reported that a citizen had walked in and reported he’d been shot in the thigh.

Units arrived on the scene and confirmed the shooting.

Detroit Fire’s Engine 42 and Detroit EMS were also dispatched to the scene. The victim was conveyed to Sinai-Grace Hospital. His condition is unknown.
