Man Barricades Himself In Wrecked Car After Pursuit
Sterling Heights, Michigan: A man was taken into custody late Monday evening after leading Michigan State Police on a pursuit through the northern burbs.
Michigan State Police said the pursuit started at the M-59 and Romeo Plank Road for a traffic violation. The suspect refused to stop and lead troopers down the M59 to the I-94 and exited at Metro Parkway.
MSP troopers apparently deployed stop sticks and the suspect ran over the sticks because that’s what suspects do, then promptly lost control of his hot rod.
The suspects vehicle went into a ditch and overturned near Metro Parkway & Schoenherr Road in Sterling Heights.
Troopers were attempting to arrest the suspect when he announced he was armed and threatened to shoot the troopers.
MSP troopers being really smart, disengaged from the suspect and attempted to negotiate.
The suspect may have been in no mood to negotiate since he may have taken a shift knob right in the garden of good and evil during the roll. Rolling your vehicle can be and often is quite uncomfortable.
MSP’s Emergency Support Team and a negotiator were summoned to the scene.
The suspect kept troopers at bay for a short time and at 11:45PM, realizing it was useless to resist and how bad can spending Easter in jail really be , surrendered peacefully.

Local 4 News captured the ending on tape, bless their little hearts. The suspect, slowly and painfully, removed himself from the destroyed vehicle and into the loving, caring hands of the Michigan State Police.
Live and learn.
The wheels on the bus go round and round.
