W 7 Mile & Forrer
Shooting: Detroit Police 8th Precinct is investigating a non-fatal shooting in the 15800 block of W 7 Mile Rd near Forrer, reported at approximately 12:55 AM.
Officers were dispatched following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers encountered conflicting accounts from individuals at the scene, some stating a person had been shot, while others claimed nothing had occurred.
During the investigation, officers located apparent blood evidence at the scene. Subsequent witness interviews indicated a security guard may have been shot and transported to a local hospital prior to police arrival.
At approximately 1:16 AM, DPD was notified that a gunshot wound victim had arrived at a local hospital, confirming the shooting.
DPD Evidence Technicians were dispatched to process the scene for investigators.
