Detroit Major Crime Summary For 7 December 2016

24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT
December 07, 2016 – 12:00 a.m. to December 07, 2016 – 11:59 p.m.

NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

Precinct: 11th Precinct
Location: 19000 block of Van Dyke
Time: 12/07/16 8:00 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The suspect entered the store and announced a hold-up. The two victims female, 44, and male, 51, gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the store and the suspect fled on foot. The victims were not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, mid 30’s, 5’10”, 190 lbs., missing front tooth/1 cracked tooth, wearing a blue skull cap/jacket, sweatshirt with a hood, carrying a blue/black back pack with brown stripes, armed.

Precinct: 6th Precinct
Location: 9000 block of Southfield
Time: 12/07/16 9:00 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
Shots were heard fired during a verbal altercation and the 24 year old female victim was struck in the body. She was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Precinct: 5th Precinct
Location: 4000 block of Hurlbut
Time: 12/07/16 11:40 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 27 year old male victim delivered a pizza when he was approached by the suspect who demanded his money and vehicle. The suspect then escaped with the victim’s black 2006 Jeep Patriot. The victim was not injured. The vehicle was later recovered.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, 6’1”, heavy set, wearing an orange construction vest, armed.

Dispatch Audio Of Fatal Shooting In Highland Park

Fatal Shooting In Highland Park

Highland Park December 7 2016: Detroit Police & Highland Park Police responded to reports of a shooting southeast of Woodward & 6 Mile in Highland Park early this afternoon around 1:15PM.

Officer’s arriving on the scene at Church & John R found 1 female with numerous gunshot wounds.

A vehicle at the scene had a blown out rear window and a lot of blood inside according to the person reporting.

A black male was seen running from the scene towards 6 Mile in gray sweatpants and hoodie. The subject was shooting at others as he ran.

Two vehicles at the scene were also exchanging shots at each other according to the 911 caller. At least 1 of those vehicles left the roadway and ruined a trees day.

Reports of shots fired in the area suggest the shooting started elsewhere in the city and ended in the vacant lot at Church & John R.

A male was found in one of the cars involved, punctured and dead. Another male was found with GSWs nearby and he was hospitalized in critical condition.

Detroit Major Crime Summary 6 December 2016

24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT
December 06, 2016 – 12:00 a.m. to December 06, 2016 – 11:59 p.m.

NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

Precinct: 2nd Precinct
Location: 13000 block of Castleton
Time: 12/06/16 2:50 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The suspect made entry into the located and assaulted the two female victims. It is unknown at this time if any items were taken.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, wearing a long black jacket, white towel covering his face, armed.

Precinct: 12th Precinct
Location: Seven Mile/Pinehurst
Time: 12/06/16 4:45 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 17 year old male victim was walking when the suspects pulled up in a black Grand Prix. The suspects exited the vehicle, announced a hold-up and went through the victim’s pocket and took his wallet.

As the victim began to run, one of the suspects fired a shot, striking him in the body.

The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

WANTED:

Suspects – Three Black males, one of them armed.

Precinct: 7th Precinct
Location: 10000 block of Knodell
Time: 12/06/16 4:50 a.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The 53 year old male victim was at an abandoned house when he heard shots and felt pain. He was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

WANTED:
Suspect – Unknown, armed.

Precinct: 11th Precinct
Location: 20000 block of Van Dyke
Time: 12/06/16 7:25 p.m.

CIRCUMSTANCES:
The suspect entered the local store and grabbed an item and took it to the counter as though he was going to pay for it.

The suspect produced a weapon and demanded the money from the register.

The 25 year old female victim (cashier) complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was not injured.

WANTED:
Suspect – Black male, 19-20, 5’8”, 140-160 lbs., slim build, dark complected, wearing a red skull cap, gray hooded jacket with a green hooded jacket underneath, black t-shirt with the word “MOB” on it, blue jeans, red gloves, armed.

Detroit Police Seek Assistance In Home Break-In

POLICE SEEK ASSISTANCE

The Detroit Police Department’s is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying and locating an unknown suspect that broke into a home on the east side of Detroit in the 600 block of Conner.

On November 20, 2016 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a suspect was captured on personal home surveillance burglarizing a home in the 600 block of Conner in the Detroit Police 5th Precinct.

Stabbing In Northwest Detroit On 6 December 2016

Detroit’s NW Side: There was a stabbing on Prevost & Trojan earlier today that somehow involved American Pawn & Loan on Greenfield & 8 Mile.

It appears as if the stabbing took place near or at American Pawn & Loan (Hardcore Pawn) on Greenfield.

The call came down as a shooting or a stabbing in the area of Prevost & Trojan, developing further when American Pawn & Loan was mentioned.

A victim was conveyed by the Detroit Police Unit on the scene, 8th Precinct’s 883, to Sinai-Grace Hospital with stab wounds.

His condition is unknown. American Pawn & Loan & the Provost location are approximately .4 miles away from each other.

It also appears as if 1 person was taken into custody, either at or  near American Pawn & Loan, for the stabbing.
