Detroit: February 5 2018 @ 5:55PM: Detroit Police units from the 11th Precinct responded to Fleming & E Lantz Ave on reports of a shooting.

Arriving units discovered 1 victim deceased at the scene.

Detroit Police evidence technicians, homicide investigators and the shooting team were dispatched to the scene.

UPDATE: MSP’s K9-1 & 2 responded to a house on Fleming St. Both K-9s were set to track a possible suspect in the fatal shooting.

Uber Driver Murdered On Detroit’s West Side

Detroit – February 4 2018 7:40PM: An Uber driver was shot and killed Sunday evening at around 7:40PM. Officer’s from the 2nd Precinct were dispatched to the 15000 block of Coyle on reports of a shooting.

Units found the victim dead on the scene.

Police say the victim, an Uber driver between the ages of 25-27 was shot while responding to a call for service on Coyle. Police say a witness called Uber to take her to a local eatery.

While sitting in the rear of the vehicle, another vehicle, described as a pickup truck, drove up to the car.

The Uber driver left the vehicle and started running.

The suspect also got out of his vehicle and ran after the victim, shooting him multiple times.

The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Detroit EMS.

Woman Tries To Set Self On Fire In DPD Precinct

Detroit – February 5 2018 2:20AM: A woman, described as a “mental”, walked into the Detroit PD’s 3rd Precinct on W Grand & 3rd early this morning and tried to set herself on fire.

A commotion could be heard over the radio and dispatch immediately notified 3rd Precinct units in the field to make the precinct.

Officers inside the precinct were able to stop the woman from hurting herself and a Detroit EMS unit was dispatched to the scene.

No officers were injured.

Perp Takes Sledgehammer To 12 Dallas Police Cars

Dallas, Texas (WFAA): A suspect took a sledgehammer to 12 Dallas police cars at a patrol substation early Sunday morning.

The suspect, Gregory Simpson, 58, entered the central patrol division parking lot at 1600 Chestnut Street through the gate at the Dallas Marshals Office, police spokeswoman Diana Browning said.

Simpson, who was arrested at the scene, used the sledgehammer to bust out back and side windows on the marked squad cars.

He remained in custody at the Dallas County Jail on Sunday morning.

The Dallas Police Associating had something to say about the whole situation.
