Driver Has Asthma Attack
Detroit’s East Side: Detroit police officers from the 5th Precinct saved a woman’s life this evening while performing a traffic stop at Chandler Park & Kensington. During the stop, the woman experienced an asthma attack and stopped breathing.
The 5th Precinct officers of scout car 5-3 placed the unresponsive woman in their scout car and rushed her to St John Hospital on Moross.
Still not breathing and without a pulse on arrival , the medical staff at St John Hospital performed their magic and were soon able to get the patient breathing on her own.
At the time of this writing she remains in critical condition, but alive thanks to the quick actions of the 5th Precinct’s 5-3 and the medical staff at St John Hospital.
Well done. #PoliceWeek
