Fatal Shooting On Minden Ave In Northeast Detroit
Northeast Detroit – December 31 2016: Detroit Police units from the 9th Precinct were dispatched to the area of Minden & Connor Saturday evening on reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, units were advised that a vehicle and victim of the shooting was on Christy Street, just south of the shooting scene on Minden Ave.
Police were told by witnesses to the shooting that a black male walked up to the victims vehicle and fired shots into it, striking both.
Units arrived on Christy Street and discovered 1 male deceased inside a burgundy 2004 Oldsmobile Alero.
Another victim was discovered on the scene, a 32 year old male. That victim was transported via Detroit EMS Medic 13 to St John’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
