Northwest Detroit – February 1 2018: A Detroit Police Officer was injured and an armed suspect was shot this evening around 8:40PM.
Officer’s from the 8th Precinct were conducting an investigation on a subject acting suspiciously in the 20500 Block of Burt Rd, north of Hessell in NW Detroit.
The officer, suffering from a blunt force trauma wound to the head was conveyed by Detroit Police Officers to Sinai-Grace Hospital.
The suspect was conveyed by Detroit EMS Medic 22 to Beaumont Hospital Trauma in Farmington Hills.
The 8th Precinct officer is in stable condition.
The suspect’s condition is said to be also stable.
Detroit Police Homicide and evidence techs are on the scene collecting evidence.
