17 Year Old From Farmington Hills Charged With First Degree Murder

Brandon Butler Accused of Murdering 23 Year Old Detroit Woman

CHARGED: Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department (DPD), the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Brandon Butler, 17, of Farmington Hills, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman of Detroit.

It is alleged that an altercation between Butler and the victim escalated, and Butler produced and fired a handgun, fatally wounding the victim, before fleeing the scene.

Butler has been charged with First-Degree Murder and Felony Firearm. DPD investigators will remain involved with this matter and will assist the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office as it prosecutes this case. All suspects are presumed innocent pending further proceedings.
