]]> Detroit’s West Side: Detroit Fire’s Engine 59 was dispatched to Thatcher & Forrer @ Varier Playfield Thursday night for a vehicle fire. E59 fought the vehicle fire and discovered the burned body in the backseat of a Pontiac Grand Prix.

Witnesses at the scene spotted a male run from the vehicle and into another, leaving the area in an unknown direction according to dispatch audio.

Detroit Police’s 8th Precinct report the body was burned beyond recognition.

Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to this crime to call the Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up.
