Crash Location: E/B I-96 Fwy near S. Hill Rd., Lyon Twp., Oakland County, MI

Preliminary investigation revealed a semi driver was stopped on the narrow right shoulder and right lane due to a flat tire. It was side-swiped by another semi driver causing a large amount of fuel and debris to be strewn across two of the three travel lanes for approximately ΒΌ mile. The freeway was closed at Milford Rd to allow for the clean-up.

The driver of the parked semi sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The second driver was not hurt.
