]]> Detroit’s East Side: DPD’s 5th Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the 5500 block of Springfield Saturday night at around 10:15PM. Arriving 5th Precinct units discovered 1 victim with a GSW/graze wound, a 36 year old female. DEMS Medic 14 and DEMS Supervisor 1104 were also dispatched to the scene.

Witnesses described a white pickup speeding from the scene, they were able to jot down the license plate number of the vehicle. DPD investigation revealed the plate belonged to a white 2002 GMC Sierra, registered just one block east of the shooting scene on Fairview.

Members of the DPD 5th Precinct IOD or investigative dudes, quickly went to the 5500 block of Fairview, found the truck described by witnesses and arrested a 47 year old man.
