Detroit’s East Side: Detroit Fire’s 9th Battalion responded to the 16400 block of Fairmount on reports of an occupied dwelling fire/trapped occupants Saturday morning. The first to arrive was Engine 58, reporting rescue operations and notifying Central Dispatch Engine 50 should be prepared to stretch.

Engine 58 notified Central Dispatch they had rescued 1 person, a child, from the dwelling and they needed a medic on scene ASAP. DEMS Medic 14 had the run and arrived a few minutes later. DEMS Medic 13 was dispatched as the second medic.

DEMS Medic 14 conveyed the injured child to Children’s Hospital, condition is unknown.
