Washburn & Buena Vista

Detroit’s West Side: Detroit Police 2nd Precinct were called to the 13100 block of Washburn early this morning at around 12:30AM on reports of shots fired and a possible shootout taking place.
Arriving units found 1 shot in a driveway, identified as 27 year old male and a “K-Type” (Fatal) by an arriving officer. DEMS Medic 2 was dispatched and pronounced the victim dead on the scene. The victim had been shot and run over by a vehicle.
The huge shooting scene stretched from the I-96 Service Drive to Fullerton Road on Washburn. Multiple units were recruited to secure the scene while the investigation took place.
Shortly following the shooting, a 57 year old male walked into the Detroit Police 10th Precinct @ 12000 Livernois with a “graze wound” from the shootout on Washburn. DEMS Medic 10 was dispatched to the scene.
Another person walked into the 10th Precinct having a seizure and it’s unknown if this is related to the Washburn shooting. DEMS Medic 1 was dispatched with Medic 10 to deal with the seizure patient. The 57 year old was conveyed by Medic 10 to the hospital where he was treated and released.
The second gunshot wound victim, a female, was privately conveyed to Henry Ford Hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, information suggests she was shot at Washburn & Fullerton. She was/is in critical condition according to police reports.
